I'm going to have to watch this when I'm not worn out tired. I haven't found any voip provider that doesn't suck. The simple "just a phone" ones that do not intermingle with the actual phones contact list - have show stopping failures, like silly half assed attempts at 2fa, and "Google contacts" only compatibility - so no Outlook (I'm a Microsoft shop). Here's looking at you Openphone! Either that, or its a UCaaS platform with all manner of meetings, and messaging thats not SMS, and calendars, and teams, and ... where's the phone again? Oh it's buried somewhere in there! (Here's looking at YOU Zoom!) Teams phones ... well I mentioned above that I'm a Microsoft shop right? I wonder why I don't just use Teams phone system ... Oh right, because it's terrible. Dialpad is also close, but no cigar. I've been meaning to try Aircall, but I don't really want to pay 120 / month to give it a whirl. Right now my shop is only me, so 120 / mo is hard pass material. Ability to connect to a real desk phone would be great, with call flip feature - idk if Aircall can do that or not. But other than that, it looks great. I'm considering getting Tello phones with unlimited data only plan, enterprise managed android, line of business app (HCP or Jobber) and a voip phone. Lock down the play store, badabing badaboom! I'm sort of wondering - without knowing your location - how you bill for this. If the client pays me, I'll be reselling telecom services, which means I have to collect and remit taxes. That situation can be a land mine. But the alternative is idk - managing a clients account on their behalf, then they get a bill for that from the provider, and also me. Which is going to invite "well I can get this cheaper over here, or over there, or maybe I don't really need this, that or the other thing" and ... the next thing you know, you're managing someone elses clusterfuck of mistakes. It's a lot easier for me, if they just pay me X per field tech includes everything. There is only one line item, and it's the "Field Service Tech Monthly Service" line.
