At Lee's request, they joined him and the Air Force Band to record another version of this which is well worth watching also. Done during the masking period.

They did a later version - Gpd Bless the U.S.A featuring Lee Greenwood, Home Free and the Singing Sergeants. That jet sound at the end was their beatboxer Adam Rupp. Yes, that tenor is a country boy, being from Georgia. The bass singer is from Texas. The other 3 are from Minnesota. The guy in the cowboy hat, Chris Rupp, the beatboxer's brother has since left the group and his replacement was an Alabama with a baritone/bass voice. His name is Adam Chance,, but he goes by Chance when singing with Home Free.

Love this one. I’ve been to Mt. Rushmore and you’d think it wouldn’t be all that cool but it is. It’s so beautiful and patriotic. Home Free also did this with Lee Greenwood and the US Air Force Singing Sergeants- it’s so cool even though it was during Covid.

I love this song, and i love Home Free! They are my favorite acapella group. Their Land of the Free cd is awesome, and two of my favorite songs are My Country Tis of Thee and Land of the Free. This subscriber hopes you will give these songs a listen and react to them.

Hills of Tennessee girl, and thank you God for letting me be born and raised here. Lee Greenwood's original, with his voice of pure emotion, always touches my heart.

A while back, a hurricane hit where I live and for over 2 weeks I didn't have electricity. When I saw an out of state truck and repairmen restored the power, I blasted the stereo up and played Lee Greenwood singing this song.

One need not be American to appreciate the patriotism & sentiment of this song (I'm Canadian). Of course the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific - they always are. Their rendition of the song with Lee Greenwood & the U.S. Singing Sergeants is just as fantastic. BTW, Tim (bass) & Austin (red hair) along with other singer/song writer/musicians do fund raising for at-risk veterans.

Great reaction and respect to all who protect our nation & defended our rights here in the USA!! Be sure to watch their newer version of God Bless the USA where they actually SING WITH Lee Greenwood & the United States Air Force band! Home Free truly are patriotic… Listen to their original “land of the free”. &. “ My country ‘tis of thee”!! &. “0nly in America”!!

Adam doing the flyover ✈️ sounds at the end of this song always gives me an extra dose of goosebumps 🥰 I also love how Adam's percussion is highlighted here, but be sure to also check out their newer version--with Lee Greenwood, the original artist--along with the US Air Force as the pandemic lockdown was opening up. A completely different take on this fabulous song ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ #HomeFree

They did have to deal with the National Park people to be able to set for filming, etc., but they were in regular visitor areas. They very nearly missed out, they got there much later than they had planned, and had very little time to film. But the good part is that there were very few tourists to get in their way. As others have said, their album Land of the Free has a number of patriotic songs on it, including the newer version of this song with Lee Greenwood (himself!!) and the Singing Sergeants. I prefer this version, it is, as itzle says - more of a love song to the US than the newer version, which is more 'chest thumping', IMHO. It is a well-done version, just not my favorite.

It’s very pretty, and nice harmonies, but it lacks the balls, grit and soul of Lee’s original!

Then try the version WITH Lee Greenwood & the USAF Singing Sargeants. Lee was impressed enough to ask them to record it together, so.... 😉🫠🥰🥰🥰
