I'm very happy hearing and seeing the energy and sound Bastien brings to the group. I still follow and support Austin just as i do Chris Rupp but i am enjoying this new adventure. Thanks for the Home Free reactions

Adam Bastien (pronounced bass-teen) is the new high tenor. He’s good and also writes music. They did a new song that Bastien wrote Let Me Come Home. Love this. Filmed in Utah. Loved the hand claps by Adam Rupp. Good one. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

If you just call anybody in Home Free Adam, you have a 60% chance of getting it right. Yes, he's named Adam, too. Adam Bastien (bass, like the fish - teen). The Adams have decided to go by their last names to avoid confusion - so Bastien, Chance and Rupp.

Some background on “new guy” Adam Bastien - He originally sang/toured with Home Free as a frequent sub from about 2005 to 2013. When the guys went on the sing off end of 2013, Bastien was on the “B” team that did their gigs. When Chris Rupp left HF, he formed a group with his sister Tristan, Bastien, and a 4th member called 7th Ave. Bastien and his partner (later husband) competed on the 15th season of The Voice, and have continued performing as “Oneup Duo” (now BellBastien). I saw Home Free in concert last month, and Bastien has a powerful stage presence, and the group seems re-energized. (his husband Jerome performed with them as a one - off on one song - I have a recording on my channel). Several members of Home Free have mentioned that having Bastien on board opens some new vocal opportunities.

Home Free won't get nominated for a Grammy. They are independent artists. They bought themselves out of their contract they won. For independent artists they are too niche for mainstream recognition. Also, other than both doing the Sing Off, PTX and Home Free don't actualy have a similar history. Both Home Free and Voiceplay were groups that existed for years before they went on the Sing Off, PTX was actually build specifically for this I do agree with you that Bastien has a poppy sound. I'm interested to see what they do with it
