I’m happy that you’re back! The first official song HF did with Bastein is a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s “Something to Talk About “ with Bastein taking lead, with some ad libs by Rob. It’s a fantastic rendition, and I think that Bastein is going to work well with Rob. The arrangement really captures that soul feel of Bonnie’s original. I believe that you will enjoy it.

So glad you’re back. And I completely understand wanting to do a variety of reactions and music types. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Bastien and how well he fits with the group. Maybe him being friends with them before joining helps. I highly recommend checking out Something to Talk About. Adam Bastien has been a part of the Home Free family since their early days in 2000-2001 when he was in and out of performing with them before the group solidified. When they won the Sing Off in 2013 and had to tour for that program, Bastien was one of the "B" singers who helped fulfill their prior contracts not connected with the show. When Chris Rupp left in 2026 he formed another group called 7th Ave along with his sister Tristin Rupp and Bastien, with a few others rotating in and out to make it a quartet. The last several years Adam Bastien has been performing with Jerome Bell as OneUp, or OneUpDuo in some videos.

As a subscriber, glad to see you back with your honest reactions. HF is releasing a Xmas album so I don’t think they’ll be comedic in the next few months but they are working on the next project. I’m hoping for some extraordinary arrangements and maybe a mashup. 💜💜💜

Been to 2 concerts now with Bastien and he has jumped in and the transition was smooth! He fits, the guys are so much more energetic, happy! Enthusiastic, glad Bastien joined them.

Welcome back! There will always be a sense of shift within a group when a member steps down and another takes their place. That may be so, but as I've found with Home Free, it never feels forced or out of place. This was actually the second video they released featuring Bastien (The new member's last name, and what the band is calling him by, just like Adam Chance is Chance). You’ll like their 1st release with Bastien. Peppy cover of “Something to Talk About” is even better, IMHO, than this one. I saw them in September. Bastien has a great stage presence and good vocal control. It was as fun as before.

As a Vince Gill Freak, I think Bastien did a really good job with this cover, he sits a little lower than Vince but he has a really nice timber and blends really well with the rest of the group.

Bastien’s debut video was a fun one called Something To Talk About ( Bonnie Raitt ) Home Free is releasing a Christmas album in November called Any Kind Of Christmas and you know Home Free we love their silly Christmas videos and there looks like there could be a couple of really fun ones and there a couple of originals one written by Tim and one written by Bastien

Great to see you back, checking out new HF! Adam goes by his last name, Bastien (bass teen). He brings a very smooth, soulful tone, so not the country influence of Austin. Hoping we can get some jazzy pieces and definitely holding out for some R&B from Rob & Bastien. (The guys released a Cristmas song to Patrons, tonight. R&B harmonize a few times...very pretty. Different dynamic from Austin and Rob.) Definitely check out B's first video with the guys 'Something to Talk About' which is fun, upbeat, cute video. B has a silly sense of humor so meshes well with HF, in that refard. Visually, being of similar height and age, he blends in well. And given his previous work with HF, many years ago, and Chris Rupp, HF knew exactly what they were getting when he came on board. Great choice. Of the fan videos I've seen of their current tour, the guys seem to have a newfound energy, look to be having a great time. 😊
