Right after the Sea Shanty Medley went viral Ubisoft contacted Home Free with an offer to make a song for their upcoming game. Chance was chosen to write it he was the perfect choice for this Chance plays the guitar and Austin the Mandolin. A Beta version of the game becomes available in August.

Home Free is so talented. They can do any genre of music. That was so much fun to listen to. Another one of Chance's pet projects as he loves sea shanties. His deeper voice sounded great for this song. And of course all the background harmonies of the guys including Adam's fabulous vocal percussion. I'm not a gamer but I love this.

They just released schedule for the Holiday tour, and they have a show in Colorado Springs on Dec. 7. I've seen both regular tour shows and holiday shows, and even in the holiday shows, you get a lot of non-holiday music. If you can make that show, GO! They are even more amazing live! Ther is a live versionof this. This was written by Chance and sung in the lead by him. He was commissioned by gaming company Ubisoft.......this a huge opportunity for the band, an they naailit.

Chance had lead vocal with Tim singing an octave below during the chorus and at the very beginning. Also, Adam was throat singing at the very beginning n a deep bass tone simultaneously with Tim and Chance.

Adam said in the premiere live chat that he was overtone singing to do the *drone* sound you hear at the beginning, which isn't bass. Overtone singing is used to create the impression of polyphony -- two notes being sung at the same time by one singer.

@Lynette Cowper that’s what I was going to say, except I don’t think you mean polyphony, which is when there are two different melody lines being sung at the same time. Like in HF’s cover of Mayday towards the end of the song when Austin is singing the “mayday mayday” line and Rob and Tim sing the “you are overbearing, I’m not in love” line simultaneously 🙂

This is an Adam Chance original and is a great opportunity for them to get into many more homes. Austin Brown also released a new original song called Hers Ain’t Mine that went viral a few weeks ago and actually hit #1 on the British charts. An audio version of it is in his solo KZbin channel.

Chance wrote this. They did a live performance of it at the Ubisoft announcement convention it's somewhere on YT as well. They did an awesome job! Yes, they played some instruments in this and they all have the ability to play instruments, but do not because they are an acapella group, and can do the magic vocally, however, there has been a couple of occurrences and they got contacted by Ubisoft to do this so when instruments are needed for something big like this... they play instruments!
