It's amazing that the Doobie Brothers used guitars, drums, keyboards, vocals and other instruments to create this iconic song and 50 yrs later Home Free makes it a classic again using only Adam and their own vocal talents. Love all the new sounds Adam added including that beautiful clear high note at the beginning and during the breakdown. He looked like he was really having fun with this and am glad the bandanas are back.

This song is still top of my housekeeping boogie list. Always gets me in a good mood. They are incredible and sure do justice to it. Austin was perfect for the lead and Adam, I think he is an alien, he's so good.

Chris, if you haven’t heard. Tim, Austin, Chris Chatham and Jeffrey East, Ernie Halter and Louisa Marion, formed a band called Sweet and Low Music Co. HF will still be #1. But they are running with all the fun they have been having with the Tim Foust and friends Backyard Bash. It was announced during Tim’s Birthday bash this year, he said they have all ready been writing. It was really exciting to be invited to a live stream studio session with all involved. Love these guys, seems the more they do to nurture their souls the better they all get. That’s the way it should be.

I can always tell when I've gone too long without music. It feeds my soul. I think sometimes it's how God speaks to me most clearly. I have always said singing is as natural to me as breathing and I mean it. I LOVE music. This song is so much fun and just makes you feel good... so much fun.

My father is a guitar player and has been writing worship and other songs for many years, so I grew up around music. At different points in my life, I have played piano, guitar, and flute in addition to singing. Even though I don't sing or play instruments much anymore, music is a HUGE part of my life and the last song I listen to before getting out of the car or turning off KZbin really stays with me - sometimes for days. I am definitely susceptible to the random ear worm! I've decided that the reason 4 is my favorite number and why I count steps in fours is because there is so much 4/4 music out there and I usually end up singing something to myself as I walk. I find that, even if I don't like the song, I can't help walking in time to the music if something is being played.

Adam Rupp’s range, from throat bass to insane high notes, Incredible! Home Free slayed this, so much fun!

Tim hasn't released any new songs lately, but if you don't mind audio-only, you should check his "I Dare You" from his pre-HF days. That's from his solo album, "The Best That I Could Do" that's out there on YT. There's a lot of good songs on it. Some, he's rearranged for HF like "I've Seen" which is gorgeous and is also worth checking out (there's a video for that one). Love your reactions! So fun!

This is simply excellent again!! I have been a fan of the Doobie Brothers for a long time. This song is just timeless. It still swings. Really something for Home Free. So great sung, so great harmonies, bone-feeling bass, But for me it's Adam who makes it truly phenomenal. He nailed it. The vocal percussion is just inhumane. So unbelievably good. For me the very best beatboxer/vocal percussionist/mouth artist there is. And I haven't even mentioned his appearance yet. He's incredible!!
@lindanearing47102 жыл бұрын
I defy anyone to sit still through this. Home Free took an already great song, put their own magic in it and polished it to a precious gem. All elements of it were fabulous, but Adam took his beat boxing/vocal percussion to another level yet again. He drove this song with authority adding new and creative elements to his already vast repertoire. Thanks for a great reaction. .

I love that you were smiling from the first note. Me, too.I was in my 20's when the original came out. Such a happy song - then and now. The boys did the Doobies proud. What I've discovered after listening to Home Free over the last few months (yes, I'm a latecomer) is that I've sgtrted to reevaluate some of the music I loved when I was younger. Especially bands like the Doobies and the Eagles. When they were new, I never really paid any attention to the actual musicality, they were just great songs. But after hearing the Home Free cover of Seven Bridges Road, I went to listen to the original. And I discovered that those guys were really good musicians. Lots of tight harmony and amazing guitars. So now I'm getting to discover them all over again. Thank you, Home Free.

Enjoyed your reaction, Chris. Totally relate to the 'emptiness' one can experience when away from their passion. As a fiber artist, definitely sense that something is 'missing' if not actively engaging the creative juices to design and work on a project.

I challenge anybody to listen to it without at least tapping your toes!! If I was paralyzed I believe this could cure me!!! 💜💜💜💜💜

I grew up on classic rock & am a big fan of the Doobie Brothers & had their albums. "Listen To The Music" was a big hit for them back in 1972. Love that Home Free is keeping this great music alive & introducing it to the younger generation. The guys did a really nice job of this song. Austin was great for the lead & loved the background harmonies of Rob, Chance & Tim's bass. Adam killed it on the vocal percussion again. He always comes up with some new & interesting sounds. Adam is doing the high notes as you can see in the slowed down section.
