Adam Chance ( the baritone of the group) was the bass for Street Corner Symphony who was on second season of the sing-off., so you have seen him. 🙂 When Chris Rupp left Home Free in 2016, Chance joined the group.
When I think of HF songs that I come back to time and again, they're actually the ones where Adam Rupp sings rather than doing beatboxing: "How Great Thou Art" "Helplessly Hoping" (CSN cover) "Auld Lang Syne." They do a great job whatever they do.

As a whole, the people no longer resonate with the "industry", with the formula that labels push and set as a standard for what we're supposed to enjoy. The people see the magician's slight of hand and we're just not impressed anymore. But what is impressive is the personal experience that HomeFree gives. There's a direct connection between them and their fan base. They don't need a label standing in the middle, directing traffic, all the while using them as puppets for an agenda. People are waking up. HomeFree and other Acapella groups are trailblazers for a new, refreshing and connected music experience. It's beautiful and exciting to witness.

It's amazing that the Doobie Brothers used guitars, two drum sets, keyboards, vocals and other instruments to create this iconic song and 50 yrs later HF made it a classic once again using only Adam and their own vocal talents. I love all the new sounds Adam added especially that high note at the beginning and during the breakdown. He really looked like he was having fun making this video.

Such a fun song from the Doobie brothers everybody who has been in a band has tried to cover but could not do it yet these guys managed to do it without the guitars or drummers the secret might be Darren Rust who mixed and recorded it.

Just a note: Austin has a solo version of Unchained Melody in addition to the one by Home Free. The HF video is an homage to the movie in which the song was originally featured. For their more R&B tracks, try End of the Road, Love Train or When A Man Loves A Woman. For comedy, try Butts Remix or Never Gonna Give You Up. For pop, Try Everything or Can't Stop The Feeling. For more serious topics, Brothers In Arms, How Great Thou Art, Everybody Walkin' This Land. Collaborations: Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys (arranged by Geoff Castelluci!), Children Go Where I Send Thee with Kenny Rogers, American Pie with Don Mclean, and God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood. They have a ton of Christmas stuff, but you need to start with the Adam Rupp-arranged Do You Hear What I Hear? This just scratches the surface.

Nice reaction, If you noticed the high steady tone, that, too, was Adam Rupp. Yes, Unchained melody would be great; they paid homage to the origin of the song (1950s prison movie). A few to choose from, any would be great: Adam Rupp Drum Solo (red shirt, old and he's even better these days). Their LIVE performance of Dolly Parton's 9 to 5. In the Blood. When a Man Loves a Woman. Brother. Country Fried Pop Medley. Butts Remix (for fun). My Church. How Great Thou Art. Mayday. Country Roads Take Me Home. Woman, Amen/Female mashup.

I grew up on classic rock & am a big fan of the Doobie Brothers & had their albums. "Listen To The Music" was a big hit for them back in 1972. Love that Home Free is keeping this great music alive & introducing it to the younger generation. The guys did a really nice job of this song. Austin was great for the lead & loved the background harmonies of Rob, Chance & Tim's bass. Adam killed it on the vocal percussion again. He always comes up with some new & interesting sounds. Adam is doing the high notes as you can see in the slowed down section.

Cole, I am new to your channel and I note that you are new to Home Free. Something I love is the fact that you actually know who each member is already so early into your rabbit hole of their music. I have followed Home Free since The Sing Off and have seen them 3 times live. You can't replace the experience of listening to their videos to actually feeling the floor rumble under Tim's low bass notes. Your subscriptions will sky-rocket the more Home Free you react to. A few reasons.... us Home Fries love to see what others think of the music they put out. They beat the pants off any other a Capella group I have ever heard, including Voice Play and Pentatonix. Start with their earlier music before Adam's brother Chris left the group and then move on to when Chance joined. Take the journey that way and really be surprised at just how versatile they really are. I will recommend your channel and be watching. Great reactions too!!!

Great reaction! Home Free definitely did this iconic song Justice! There are so many great songs that it’s difficult to find only a few to recommend. Brothers in Arms and Helplessly Hoping will show off Tim and Chance. I also love Tim in My Church, Ring of Fire (with ex-PTX bass Avi Kaplan), Hillbilly Bone, Forever and Ever Amen, and In the Blood. A few of my personal favorites with Chance are Winter Song, One Man Band, and Castle on the Hill. End of the Road showcases a brilliant lead by Rob. I also love him in Bless the Broken Road and Blue Ain’t Your Color. Man of Constant Sorrow is the first video I saw of theirs, and I was immediately hooked. Adam Rupp has a rare vocal moment in How Great Thou Art, so you can actually hear his singing voice (it’s also just an incredibly beautiful version with amazing harmonies). To see him go nuts with his “nomonica,” you must see Ain’t Goin Down Til the Sun Comes Up (only on Home Free’s FB page due to copyright issues, but it can be reacted to on YT), and to see his amazing arrangement skills, Do You Hear What I Hear - another song with amazing harmonies while also highlighting each of their individual skills. To highlight the incredible Austin Brown - When A Man Loves a Woman. That’s all that needs to be said. Seriously. To see their very(!) silly side, Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget, All About the Bass, and especially The Butts Remix.

This is simply excellent again!! I have been a fan of the Doobie Brothers for a long time. This song is just timeless. It still swings. Really something for Home Free. So great sung, so great harmonies, bone-feeling bass, But for me it's Adam who makes it truly phenomenal. He nailed it. The vocal percussion is just inhumane. So unbelievably good. For me the very best beatboxer/vocal percussionist/mouth artist there is.

As fantastic as the other 4 are, Adam Rupp is in a league of his own. Not only does he sound like drums, he vocalizes drum beats & rhythms like a real drummer. I don't know if I'm saying it right, but his skills are of a musician. Good reaction; the song just naturally puts a smile on your face.

New sub, came for the Home Free reaction. Yep, I'm a Home Fry! What can we say about Home Free..... well they are 5 of the most talented guys in music IMO Individually they are great vocally, but together in Home Free they are phenomenal! They each have songs out there that showcases them in leads that you should check out. Their tenor with long red hair Austin Brown sings lead in their cover 9f 'When a man loves a woman. Fantastic!, their second tenor with beard and glasses Rob Lundquist sings lead their Boys2Men cover of 'End of the Road' or their original 'Dreamer' Amazing! Their baritone/bass Adam Chance( we call him Chance because of the two Adams) he sings lead in their original 'Catch me if you can ' and their cover of Born in the USA. Both are worth a listen! Their 5 octave range bass long dark hair or short dark hair with gray streak Tim Foust sings a shared lead in their cover of Dire Straits ' Brothers in Arms ' and Land of the Free ( which he wrote). And the best beatboxer around IMO Adam Rupp who also cofounded the group with his brothe Chris who is in some of the older videos, but is no longer with them They. Adam has a video out of him doing a drum solo ( the one in the red flannel shirt). It is unbelievable! They have a huge catalog of great music from different genres. Some are more country leaning and some are more pop( Can't stop the feeling) R & B ( their mashup ' Thinking out loud, 'Let's get it on) and Love Train and classic rock (American Pie). They also have some really creative and funny videos that still deliver stellar vocals like ' The Butts Remix, Workin for a living, and Country Fried Pop Medley, And they have their serious socially conscious side as with ' Everybody walking this land ( which is you watch please watch till the end there is a message after the song) and Undivided. Not all of their songs are for all people, but we love them all. They have a loyal fan base, because they are there for their fans. They are constantly thinking of us and making us happy. During the pandemic when they had to cancel their tour and still today they worked sperately from their homes to put out videos on KZbin for us. Like 'Meet in the middle, Sunday best, Quarentine and many others. Thank you for giving them another listen and thanks for a great reaction! Hope you will do more! Have a great day! And enjoy your Home Free journey!😊

They do tend to lean country but do a lot of genre's. I think you should listen to Seven Bridges Road (Eagles cover) Country Roads ( John Denver) cause everyone loves that song, God Bless The U.S.A. This is an incredible banger, which at the time was welcome after several dreary ballads. Personally I wouldn't recommend Unchained Melody, which has a rather strange heavy arrangement and far more doo-wop than is healthy and than is appropriate to the melody. Austin's version on his channel is outstanding and has been viral since it was released, now at just under 13 million views. You might want to look at the recent Save the World, or one of my favourites, Working for a Living.

Great reaction! Their unchained melody is great, definitely check it out, but you can't really go wrong with Home Free (same as Voiceplay, I have yet to find a song I dislike)... If you want to see more of Adam's talent, Man of constant sorrow seems to be a popular choice for reactors, though I prefer Ain't going down (Till the sun comes up). Brothers in arms has some great harmonies and, in my opinion, it's one of their best works. Yea.....this is my 2nd viewing of one of your reactions of HF....and thought you had taken enough abuse for me to pile on....My comment was going to refer to "blinders for the ears to judge a group based upon one song....".... Adam Rupp...ya nailed it....He stands alone....All acapella groups have beat boxers but they just seem to fill the beat....Adam adds another level to the songs he participates in. Since you don't care for country, I'd suggest: End of the Road .....or some classic 70's Crosby Still & Nash : Hopelessly Hoping"....Or Queen/Sir Mix alot (rap) as well as a few others in their Butts Medley. Or maybe Dire Straits: "Brothers in Arms"....and you can go even further back in time..like 50+ years and catch them with Don McClain and "The day the music died"....There is also a live track of them and Don when he received his star on Hollywood boulevard where they did it on the 50th anniversary... Please, even if some Home Fries may have had negative remarks on your first reaction, don't feel obliged to "like" Home Free. Keep giving your honest opinion. We can handle it 🙂 And yes, Unchained Melody is a good one to try. And how about Born in the USA, Some Girls Do, and Love Me Like That (that's an original of them)
