My Dad really liked Patsy Cline so from the time I was a new being I grew up on her songs. Crazy was one that I remember most and was one I sang for Pops many times when he was at his end of life. So when I say it is special to me, it really is special. The first time I heard Home Free sing this song there were tears in my eyes by the end of it. Even now I get misty eyed. They really captured the pathos that was Patsy's trademark style and all the nostalgia was right there to surround me. HF never seems to fail in doing justice to their covers. Seeing your enjoyment of their efforts adds the joy of shared experience to the mix. Happiness is always better when it is shared.

I had the same reaction as you did when I first saw that they did this. It's my favorite Patsy Cline song and I hadn't seen a lot of Home Free at the time. What if they ruined it for me? Ha! And Ha! again. I am totally with you on Adam's brushes. Sooooo good. A great, and very respectful, cover of an iconic song.

Such a beautiful cover of this classic song. I listened to Patsy Cline growing up. Loved her voice & the emotion she conveyed in her songs. I think Home Free nailed it & did a beautiful tribute to her.

Loved watching the joy come over you as you listened/reacted to this wonderful cover by Home Free. They draw you in no matter the genre and there are SO many to choose from. I think you'd love their cover of Workin' for a Livin' (Huey Lewis & The News) where Adam brings out the no-monica again for another spin. It's a really fun video and throwback to the 80's. Another MUST is the John Denver classic, Take Me Home Country Roads - they spent 5 years working on the arrangement until they felt they'd done it justice! I'd love to see you react to some of their originals as well, there are many. I'd suggest these 3 (in this order) from their Dive Bar Saints album (all but 2 originals), if you're paying attention you'll see a thread from one to the next: Catch Me If You Can Dive Bar Saints Leave This Town

I get dizzy listening to this song because I hold my breath in anticipation for each magical musical moment. They literally take my breath away. This is one of their songs where I tear up from the sheer joy of hearing them. The talent is almost supernatural amongst these 5 guys. Each of them had crucial roles to play and each of them filled their role to perfection. The secret to their unique sound in my opinion is that they have no egos in the group. They each get to shine at some point in time and they serve the music instead of trying to make the music serve them. Adam's musical intuitions are spot on with the percussion. He never over does and he knows exactly what will sound best for any given song. With his level of skill, it would be very easy for him to "show off" just because he can, but he never does. Thanks for a great reaction.

The more I listen to this song, the more I LOVE it. It’s just soooo classic and we’ll done. I’ve requested HF over on their Patreon that they consider TRUE LOVE WAYS by one of my favorites, Buddy Holly. Only if! We’ll see. Love that you’ve become a home fry, my man!

Really enjoyed your reaction and the insight you gave us on the intricacies involved in producing the amazing harmonies Home Free performs. Joyful. Would love to see your reaction to Home Free's rendition of "How Great Thou Art". They filmed the video in the Austrian Alps near the church that was featured in the movie "The Sound of Music". For me it was the absolute best rendition of this song I've ever heard. Thank you.

This was my mother's favorite song, hearing it as she did when it was first sung. She was also a friend of Patsy Cline's so it meant even more to her. She never talked much about her except to say how beautiful she was and how admired for her vocal qualities. She would not listen to the recordings later in life because she remembered how she died and how sad and lonely it made her. Home Free came as close as anyone I have ever heard in 70years to rendering Patsy's nuanced voice perfectly. My mother would have cried. Kudos, Austin.

Adam is definitely the glue of the group. It is not for nothing that he is the only one left over from the beginning of Home Free. I hope these 5 guys stay together for many years to come. They are a group where everyone is so talented, but also stay very close to the "ordinary" person. They have the perfect voice for every song, like Austin here. Together with the incredible harmony and inhumanly good beatboxing you are completely drawn into the song.

Sorry I missed the live Stream but so glad you loved it. I love these songs from back in the day. So glad my parents introduced me to them. You couldn't make it back then unless you had real talent. Honestly that why I love Home Free too. So many singing groups have maybe one, to two, main singers and the others most of the time only ever sing the background. But here they all have the voice to take the lead even Adam the Beatboxer, but he prefers to do the Beatboxing and occasionally does some harmonies. But all the others can take the lead. Will try to have a think of possible song suggestions for them that I think you would really like. "Helplessly Hoping" is definitely one and it really highlights Chance and Robs voice and yes even Adam the Beatboxer singing. If you're a fan of the original American Pie Song by Don MacLean, you might like their cover of it that includes Don MacLean himself. He actually asked them to cover it for the songs anniversary.

Awesome rendition and justice to Patsy Cline. HF made a smart move in bringing the classics and do justice to them. I came across a new group called Forestella. They're a vocal quartet and awesome. Some songs I've listened to was: Scarborough Fair, Bad Romance, and Queens: We are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody and We Will Rock You. Some sites have them listed as Kpop but they're nothing like BTS. I really enjoy your reactions! God bless you!

Why are you so aggressive? There was a pause at the end of that phrase. If he did it in one breath, I apologize, then I will say that I wish he would have slurred onto those last notes. Listen with noise cancelling headphones and hear that he either paused for a moment or they digitally overlapped that last part.
