hopping on this video 2 years late but I just wanted to share a tip! I have CarPlay in my car (similar to bluetooth). when i’m driving I will draft a note in my phone via handsfree bluetooth/ siri. So my narrative notes can be done while i’m driving seeing patients, and when I get home I copy and paste the narrative note in my charting!

I just wanted to say thank you for this video.. are you still in the business? I've been doing hospice for almost 2 years now with a little home care also in there. We use HCHB, it's been a ton to learn how to use. Charting has gotten quicker..BUT is is still a lot! We have an on call number..BUT YES...these patients do call is all hours of the night. I give out my personal phone number. You sound like an amazing nurse!!!

@@noelmansfield8505 Best of luck! It can be a great area to get into, as long as you're informed and aware ahead of time of what HH entails. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I need to make more videos... lol.

about 6 weeks into HH and the charting sux! Its slowly getting better, but still a start of care takes at least an hour theres so many boxes and looking at their chart for S=DX's, Vaccines etc.etc.Luckily with Kinser/Oasis charting teaching templates populate re: to DX's of that pt. you just might have to add a few particular things and off you go...Thanks for the info!

Thank you for sharing. Lots of good tips. I'm homecare nurse for a long time and I'm a traveler. I use a tablet, I have limited clipboard space to save education documentation. I can't figure out how to save education to use in teaching documentation.

Would you recommend going into home health as a new grad lpn?
@EverythingHomeHealth2 жыл бұрын
I would not recommend it. Only because I often find myself in situations where I'm forced to be resourceful and creative. If it weren't for my prior nursing experiences I honestly don't know how I (or my patient) would have made it safely through. If you have previous CNA experience, then possibly.

@@EverythingHomeHealth thank you so much for responding.. I have seen home health positions available in my area that accept new grads and I don't feel comfortable enough with my skills to apply to them. Hopefully I will find a position in a Ltc or assisted living facility. Thanks again

@@Ktrvrn You are so right! lol. I actually hired a driver to drive me around for about a year. I did charting in between patients and had the driver park a block away or so (hippa reasons). Ate too much of my profits though. I started off LTC, so I know the feeling.
