3D printers are one of the greatest modern technological achievements, there is endless uses and possibilities with them. I simply can't understand how someone either couldn't be impressed by them or think they're pointless.

#d printers are good for some stuff, but not cups that you gonna drink from, unless you like to eat/drink plastic

I think the Andy guy got in a negative mood when Richard said "You sicken me." He didn't realize it was just a joke. From that point he just was bothered. Not used to light joking I guess.

Jesus Christ people lighten up, Andy was merely being a reasonable skeptic, and that made him a great foil for Richard to play off of, made the show more interesting than seeing a bunch of mindless yes-men.

The wallpaper machine seems like the most useful to me, not that I don't appreciate the rest of the stuff (minus the chairs, those were a bit of a joke), I just see the wallpaper machine as something that could be used by every day people and save tons of time.

And as stated in the video. How the hell was that not a thing before then? Also who still uses wallpaper besides your great grandmother?

+Arnolds Kļavenieks They have ones that can produce metal objects. Heck, they have ones that can produce food. It is all building up to Star Trek's replicators, here in about 200 years...

The rest of the gadgets were pretty cool in and of themselves, but that wallpapering machine is the only one I can genuinely see being as common as an electric drill in a few years' time. It's genius.

Wallpaper pasting machines have been around for over a century. So good luck with that patent. Also while the are good at pasting there useless for actual hanging as there's a lot more to it than a flat sheet in the middle of a flat wall. For one thing paper expands once pasted about a centimeter in width so once paste is applied, the sheet has to sit for at least 5 min to expand otherwise it will just wrinkle and bubble on the wall. There are some dimensionally stable non woven wallpapers out now that would work ok but there's a no machine that can apply wallpaper to a wall that has numerous cut outs and wraps and corners etc. Not to mention matching the pattern working and rolling the seams down. So yeah nice try though. We do use machines in the trade similar to this to paste the wallpaper with tho. But as mentioned they've been around for over a hundred years along with ones to apply paper directly to the wall. Your engineering staff needs to do a little more research next time.

To be fair to Andy. A lot of the products were pointless. The technology behind a lot of them are very cool but still not that impressive.

+86 THEMADHATTER Not true, like he said about the robotic arm it is used in industry to save time, 3rd printers can be used to create things such as ribs, craniums and more, wallpaper is a bitch to put up. The other two weren't that great though.

Samuel Ball I'm talking about a robot arm painting the wall of a house and a 3d printer making cups (i'm aware of what they can actually do). I won't even mention the walking table lol. This is what Andy was shown and asked what he thought about them. Nothing to do with the other tasks they can do. The wallpaper thing did look cool though

Why would you pay fifteen thousand pounds for a walking table when it is easier and faster to just pick up the table?
