We have always put our dog and cat food on the floor of our pantry and kept the door closed. You could also make some space in a low kitchen cabinet and keep it closed

I have 3 girls ages 5, 2 and a half, and my baby girl is turning 1 in a few days. We have had the dog bowl issue each time and we just did the picking it up and putting it on the counter thing each time. It’s definitely annoying but what I’ve always reminded myself is that it’s an extremely temporary issue so I never wasted too much brain space (as busy moms our brain space for things like this is very precious!) on this issue trying to come up with a permanent solution. I’ve been loving your channel and this series is genius! I need to take a day to work on things that annoy me about my house

Hydrogen peroxide is also an amazing stain remover, especially on makeup, blood, chocolate. Worked at a high end retailer-we kept it in back to clean ourselves if we got stained working. Also, I’ve been catching up on your story and this is the first comment I’m leaving! Hi! Love your family!😊

I'm watching now. I think you should keep the second file bin as you may need it to set up things for Maddie as time goes on. If not, it is there for daisey. I think Catherine Elaine has done a similar setup on her channel. Those early preschool days are so memorable ❤

the file bins stack but do they fit inside of each other, that would let you keep one for future use but not take up more space?

Re: dog bowl situation, maybe get an auto dispenser feeder & water bowl so that the food/water isn’t just sitting in the bowl for Daisy to grab. I think they even have ones where the dog can control the food coming out

To put the “Daisy” file folder to use before she starts school you can keep all of the medical paperwork in it until she starts school!

Just got to the dog food part, feed your dog, pick up bowls don’t free feed. Find a waterer that can be accessed by dog only,there are so many new dog products out there. I’ve taken out closet doors and put up curtains in office and sewing room, easy access

Hey there…About the dog bowls…kids are teachable even at a very young age…just teach her “don’t touch”…it’s never too soon to learn when something is off limits!

Hi Allison, love your energy! I noticed that the closet next to your pantry is underutilized. Maybe add a shelf to place other items as well. As for Bucky's bowls, can you put them in the hall closet and slide the door closed? Just a thought. 🙏🏼🫠

That closet actually had a mouse in it once so we try not to use it 🫣 the hall closets a great idea for the dog food though!

If you don’t use the bathroom door in your bedroom anyway, maybe you could take the door knob off for now and put the mirror more in front of the door. That would cover where the knob used to be and get the mirror from behind the curtain. 😊

We had to move our dogs dishes outside because that was really our only option. He really didn’t like it for probably a month but now he’s used to it and does fine 🤷🏼‍♀️

Agree with have a higher dog food bowl holder. It’s actually not good on the dog to bend over so much to eat their food. Daisy may still be able to get to it.
