Hi Sameer, The cost of Interior design is not calculated based on the carpet area, but on the basis of the work area like the size of the bed, number of bed, cupboards, kitchen size, tv unit size and so on. In general 1300-1500 per sq ft cost is good enough which includes standard materials and labor charges. Hope it’ll help!

Dear Amit jee, The best way to calculate tentative estimate is to figure out your requirement and know what you want to build. Except a few things like tiles/false ceiling, rest of the expenses (carpentry work and finishes) are based on the requirements. for carpentry work you can get tentative idea by measuring all the size and multiply it by avg 1600-1700 (that should cover materials, accessories and labour charges). For ballpark figure 5-6 L (2 bedrooms with bed, cupboard, kitchen and living area) should be a good budget to start with and add 2-3L if you want a little upper class finish.
