HOME MADE CHESS SET USING EPOXY RESIN ft. MY MUM! TIME LAPS & LAUGHS | Let's Resin

This self made chess set took me about 6 days, it was the drying process that took the time. I design the chess board and the various chess pieces and my mum wanted to FaceTime when I unmoulded everything so she is also featured in this video, twice! I definitely had my highs and lows when it came to this project but after I had finished, I was very proud of myself lol
I do think that the more I use the resin, the better I will get. I'm still having problems how much resin to use for every project but as I said, the more I use it the better I will get at that too!!!
I know some people get a but annoyed when I get so excited! So I have let u know in this video so u can mute me if u want!!

A little bit of isopropel alcohol is what I use to demold, things slide right out! I LOVED this you did such a beautiful job!!!

That mold takes 16oz to fill completely…. You did a beautiful job recreating the board…. One tip… when you pour layers of resin on top,of each other, like your chess pieces, you need to make sure that the resin is tacky or not fully cured before pouring another layer… if the resin is cured completely, you should scrape the layer that cured so that the next layer has something to grab ahold of… not doing this, you run the risk of the pieces separating at the layer contact points… I learned this the hard way when I made a pyramid lamp…I poured it in layers and didn’t have it scraped or scratched at the contact point and after demolding it, it separated in half, ruining my project…

If you haven’t figured out by now, it may be too late; but…I saw it right away, when you blew the powder out of the cup @ the beginning, it flew into your camera lens! That’s what was causing the cloudy on your right side of the Lena. I just hope it’s not too late to fix it! BTW, I want to make some of these, thanks for the video; I’m a newbie…wish me well!

If you tap them a lil up an down right after u pour...it helps with the bubbles at the tops of the pieces. Hope that helps a lil?! Thanks for sharing this amazingly gorgeous chess set!!! Stunning job sweetie 💖
