For cabochons etc yes thats all I use , Just investing in some more expensive ones for faceting

@@BrightonGemstones i have a old faceter that im going to use for a flat lap for now,,but i bought a 500 grt from kent laps just to try one out,,, im sure after a nice hard agate it will be 900 in no time

Dont use it anymore , but there is a raised lip in the middle and everything was sealed.

@@BrightonGemstones yeh, I made one similar. The water issue always bothered me, and, I could not control the speed. Im working on a new design with a separate shaft and pully system.
