Here in Martinique (french island in the caribbean (not too far from Barbados)) this fruit is called "Corossol". We looove this fruit, we eat it and drink its juice wich we make just like you, we just add some a little bit of lime juice because soursop's juice is too sweet. We're also making ice cream and sorbets and the buds of the leaves consumes in tea are excellent for calming the nerves and putting turbulent children to sleep all night, lol. I have a tree in my garden, i won't say it's a beautiful tree compare to mango tree, coconut tree, mamey tree..., but it is so usefull and delicious. In Cuba (an other neighboring island of us), soursop is widely used to fight cancer successfully. Cuba's worlwide knowed to have the best natural medecine, doctors and oncologist in the world ! I'm not cuban i'm just grateful because Soursop and cuban doctors save my uncle 5 years ago. Here they only gave him 6 months to live with chemotherapy. In my island many cities are twinned with cuban cities and have close relationship and exchanges witch each other, so my uncle signed a waiver against the advice of his doctor and left urgently for treatment there. He came back a few months later in remission. He is not an isolated case, many had that chance. Since then he continue to consume every week the fruit when it's the season or the leaves in infusions. The Good Lord Has put everything in Nature to heal and cure us.

It is also called Soursop in Jamaica, West Indies. We mix the juice with either condensed milk, nutmeg and cinnamon or with sugar, ginger, and lime/lemon. I also love to just eat the fruit itself. The leaves of the tree are used medicinally and brewed for/as tea.
@eileenwatt8283 Жыл бұрын
Condensed milk should be outlawed. It's one of the worse think ever invented. It's so unhealthy. Putting sugar and condensed milk in anything makes makeup it unhealthy. Use any fruit from the melon family. A well ripe cantaloupe is best to sweeten soursop which is already sweet. It's difficult to have my Jamaican people stop sweeten carrot juice and soursop juice. They are already sweet.
