I’m not crying! No I am not! That was beautiful. I was raised by my Grampop ……I called him Ernie. I am 65 years young and I still have Ernie’s pipe sitting in his ashtray and his rolled up pouch of Holiday tobacco. I swear sometimes I think I can still smell it. Ernie was the love of my life. We used to push back the kitchen table and chairs and waltz to Lawrence Welk. Thank you for bringing my Ernie back for a visit. I hope everyone had an Ernie in their lives❤️

Moi dziadkowie odeszli zanim się urodziłam ale miałam kochanego wujka, który nauczył mnie nazw i funkcji narzędzi i jak ich używać, pozwalał mi gospodarować w jego warsztacie i dzięki temu, choć byłam dziewczynką, to nie ustępowałam moim kuzynom w majsterkowaniu a teraz, jako bardzo już dorosła kobieta, radzę sobie z naprawianiem rozmaitych sprzętów. A ile mam wspaniałych wspomnień z tamtego czasu!!! Film je przywołał i wywołał prawdziwe wzruszenie. Dziękuję za ten film. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

My grandpa henry had a garage that I loved to visit when he was working in it. I remember spending hours just quietly watching him and gently asking questions. His workshop was so organized with all sorts of hand tools, and he knew how to use them to fix just about anything under the sun. Today I’m 67 years old and I thank my grandfather for my DIY skills…I, too, now can fix anything. Thank you, Grandpa!

Wonderful. This really hits home for me, I've been building model railroads for more then 30yrs. I had each of my three children build structures when the were little for the layout. It will always be apart of us .

Very inspiring story. Thank you for sharing. My mother was raised by her grandparents, so she was taught how to do things the old way. Without electricity and running water. She shared her knowledge with me. After I was grown, the knowledge she shared, helped me to maintain when things got hard. 😊

mi padre trabaja la carpintería, siempre deseo tener un hijo varón para enseñarle el arte también, pero en su lugar tuvo 5 hijas maravillosas, así que cuando yo estaba en mi niñez siempre me mantenía en su taller para sentir su compañía, no aprendí el oficio de la carpintería, siempre lo sentí a mi papá cerca del corazón, lo quiero tanto :)
