Wool is very healthy. Cooling in summer and warm in winter. This is what the old generation used to sleep on with no back issues

I can't even explain how absolutely grateful I am for what you guys have done. I've ordered twice, a mattress for my toddler a year ago, and today received her second mattress. Seeing how much love and artistry goes into this, I'm blown away. Thank you, so very much for everything.

Thank you for making this video! Not long ago, I watched a video about a woman who lives completely off grid, in her own tiny home that she built herself, and one thing she pointed out was her wool bedroll. It looked super lush and comfy, so I was just trying to find out how to make something similar, but found your video instead on making an actual mattress... I love how it was so short, yet everything I wanted to know was shown, so thank you very much! We have three dogs that shed constantly in addition to seasonal blowing of coats, plus I'm getting sheep this year and planting a healthy crop of yellow bedstraw! We lost our king-size mattress when our one lady dog decided to deliver her puppies right beside me in the middle of the night, rather than using the whelping box we made for her and placed at the foot of the bed! So, we stole back the queen-size memory foam mattress from my son, but it's too small. I have shopped online for high-quality organic mattresses, but the prices!!! I could by a small parcel of land for the same!!! I like making things that I need myself, so thanks again for this video :-D I will suffer the queen-size foam mattress until I have enough material to make my new king mattress, and maybe even go a bit bigger, ha ha! :-D

I've been suffering from my back when i sleep sometimes i can't flip over the other side because of my back is really stressed for 1 year and a half .. and i've just change my mattress into raw wool mattress and the magic happened after a few days of sleeping on it , all the pain was gone .

Wanting to use wool stuffing in seat and back cushions of fireside chair and would appreciate advice on which breeds would be best. Thanks for sharing your video. 😊
@homeofwool3 ай бұрын
Hello! Wool stuffing is a wonderful choice for fireside chair stuffing as wool is naturally flame resistant. Thus, any breed would be suitable.

What are the little white fuzzy things you put on the needle when you're sewing the tufts?
@homeofwool2 жыл бұрын
Hey! These are the wool yarn bows. :) Yarn bows are used for durability. They prevent the tufting thread from ripping through the outer fabric of the mattress. We make them from wool yarn and they are very soft and not noticeable during sleep. :)

@@homeofwool are they kind of like pom poms? I'm making a little wool bassinet mattress and wondered what these things are in the videos I've watched. Your mattress is beautiful, you make me want one for myself instead of just my baby! 😊
@homeofwool2 жыл бұрын
@@thekind8 Hey! Pom poms are usually used for side decoration only. :) These yarn bows are more like a substitute of fabric-covered buttons most commonly used in tufted products. Thank you for your kind words! ❤️

Hi, what is it that you are using in place of a button when tufting? Is it a bit of felt?
