The words mean it all. After being in the Army and being in that many conflicts from the 1st Gulf war,Bosnia.Ireland,Iraq and Afghanistan etc this song says it all. I can't stop listening to it 👍👍

An underrated piece of filmmaking at 2:17. Lisa looks at Kate, worried her friend won't be able to hold it together for the line that was written by Kate's son. Kate gets through it with visible relief and then cut to the husband getting to watch his wife be so brave. This always gets me.

Two strong women with two diffrent characters........symbols of two important military ranks in the British Army mobilizing people to action: colonel (Kate's husband ) and sergeant (Lisa's husband)........

This movie made me tear up soo much and I barely cry during movies 🥺 "at 10 o'clock tonight I'll be looking at the moon..." this line makes me so emotional

I was the same.the wives and family's of those serving don't get credit for holding families together .beautifull film sheds a tiny insight.how brave they are.dreading a knock on the door.or phone ringing

It's quite difficult for me to focus my thoughts on this, knowing that this song came from something as simple as a bluey really rocked me! I cannot, no power ever could, explain what a bluey ment to a soldier. I watched this film with my parents, my father a serviceman of 22 years in the RAF who did more than his fare share of unaccompanied tours, and so whilst I myself was never married, this isn't lost on me, I always had girlfriends or the wives of my men, friends a d so on I mind and how they must of felt, but this punched home. When this song played in the film, and finished my mother looked at both me and my dad, giggling slightly as we were both wiping tears, and said what's wrong with you both! Lol! Not enough credit or recognition is given to the wives of service personnel, I've no doubt its as equally as tough on them. Finally, thankyou to that one unique group of wives for making such a beautiful song x

I couldn’t agree more, your comment is soo beautiful and shows a vulnerable truth that isn’t talked about nearly enough!!

I've just made the same comment ! They get no credit. As the sergeant said to his wife in the film. She was there to support everyone while they were away.he had always said she should be paid.hope you're okay.non of us can ever repay any of you.thank you doesn't seem enough

1963 Germany, cold war. Four minutes to live waiting for a nuclear strike. The only way we coped was being together. With a really sick humour. Loved the film loved the music means a lot because your a veteran.
