Hi Lizzie, Just watched the full program on iPlayer. Its fantastic! I'm originally from Derbyshire from near where Ken grew up, and both my Dad and Father in Law where lived most of their lives there. Lost my Dad earlier this year, but Ken reminds me so much of him and my father in law. What a guy Ken is and what a fantastic life he's lived, and continues to live! Your film has made me laugh and cry in equal measure! I to am drawn to wild places, and am a bit of a nomad.....think I aspire to be more like Ken! So thanks so much to both you and Ken!

Have watched the film on iPlayer 3 times in last 24hrs! Absolutely love it. Wonderfully intimate, charming and sweet documentary. Well done to Lizzie for her tender approach. And well done to Ken for his approach to life. Truly inspiring.

Thank God Lizzie you 'happened' to visit and I presume give him the GPS 'life alert' that saved him! Great film! Wish it could get more airplay and updates!

Enjoyed the documentary - the pace of it was spot on, music perfect and I liked the tender relationship between Lizzie and Ken. On another note, I hope that heartless gang who beat him up, got correctly punished.

She actually did him justice in all fairness to the lass So many filmmakers just want to exploit us that live off grid, but she treated him with a lot of dignity and respect! We were contacted by a tv company wanting to follow us again last week….. 😖

You live in a breezeblock building. Hardly comparable tbh.

Love this story, but can't watch the full BBC documentary as I am from the US. Any suggestions?

I thought the film Lizzie made about Ken Smith was wonderful. It was poignant, beautifully filmed and respectful. However why tell the world where he lives, he will be inundated with idiots trying to visit him. His location surely should have been vague to say the least.
