It’s so nice to hear both your families are supportive of you wanting to do your own thing on Christmas. The first Christmas my husband and I were together we decided we wanted to spend the actual day just the two of us. I remember being so nervous to tell my parents for fear of upsetting them but they were great about it and had said it was something they wished they’d done when they were younger! Last couple of years we have alternated between families but it’s lovely to know that we can have one on our own again in the future without offending anyone! There’s so much pressure put on for relatives to be together on Christmas Day regardless of whether it works for everyone or not. Lovely to see this normalised. Christmas in the Cotswolds with sweet Bonnie sounds perfect x

I live in the cotswolds and would definitely recommend westonbirt arboretum for long dog walk and cute villages to visit would be Bourton on the water, Broadway and Bibury.

Christmas in the Cotswolds sounds romantic. My family are from the Cotswolds so it always feels extra special to me to visit. Bourton on the water is a beautiful place to visit and mooch around. As is Stow on the wold. Very picturesque. Lots of country pubs and restaurants. Westonbirt Arboretum is beautiful and Bonnie would love it their. Tetbury is a lovely place to look around and there are lovely country pubs along the way x

One place you have to go is Bourton on the Water. They have a motor museum where original Brum is! And it's so nice to walk through with a model village to see too. Dover's Hill is lovely to do a quick walk round too. Especially if the sheep are walking round too. Take wellies everywhere! 😂 we live at the top edge of the cotswolds but havent ventured much over it all yet. If you are in the area of Stratford upon Avon, that's always nice to walk around too

Your Christmas plans sound so fun! I am so ready for Christmas now. You need to look out for the Mickey waffle maker in Primark. I just bought it yesterday and made a massive stack with my boyfriend. in the cotteswold go to the lygon arms or at least late night shopping in broadway (its magical). also try and book sudeley castle spectacle of lights!!

I have tons of recommendations for the cotswolds, I went this summer and have also booked for Christmas there! Villages you need to visit is Bibury, Castle combe, Chipping Campden, Broadway and the Broadway Tower, Lower and Upper Slaughter, Bourton on the water, Burford, Gloucester and Cirencester, Stow on the world, and just drive through a load of villages and stop off to see!

Broadway most restaurants are dog friendly , we like Broadway hotel and the lygon arms in both Broadway and chipping campden ! Chipping Norton is close to Blenheim worth a visit in the gardens as dogs are allowed On leads !

Look up mylee magic gel remover its like a paste u just paint on after u file to break through the top coat it is amazing!!!! I cant soak off them by myself its to awkward but this stuff takes 5 or 6 mins and it bubbles up the gel then u just scrape it off

When you come to the Cotswolds you should definitely visit Cirencester, super dog friendly and lots of cute cafes and pubs…also normally there’s a Christmas market in the town in December!! 🎄🌸

I love visiting the Cotswolds; Stow on the Wold is so lovely and has some lovely cafes. I visited there last year. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time. We live in Chipping Norton area. Daylesford farm shop is a good place to visit. Bourton on the water is great, Bibury trout farm. Batsford arboretum is great too. Broadway Tower is a good place to walk too Blenheim palace is not to far from Chipping Norton too.

Lots of exciting things coming up for you, and how lovley to be going to the Cotswolds for Christmas, if you get the change and its not too far for you a Must is Bath Christmas Market pretty sure its on this year, google just to double check, it is busy but i think they have changed it up since befor Pandemic, but it is very special, that part of the Uk is so nice anytime of year, hubby and i are going to Shropshire this year, postponed from last year, cannot believe xmas is not that far away, crazy where this year has gone, ooh and yes to a packing video you simply do it so well, take care, xxx

Just watching now and so excited about your Christmas plans 😃 we live around 30 mins from “Chippy” and one of my closest friends lives there. Chipping Norton itself is lovely but in the area Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water are both lovely 😃 we are just learning re dog friendly places in our area as we have only had our puppy for 5 weeks but I think there are a couple of dog friendly pubs in Bourton. Our nearest bigger town is Witney and we just discovered Como Lounge which is a bar/restaurant while welcomes dogs😃 we had a lovely lunch there last weekend and plan to return. It’s v popular though so def go for an early or late lunch 😃 Burford is also a lovely village (10 mins from us) and we can highly recommend Hufkins for tea and cake (also breakfasts and light lunches)😃 please feel welcome to DM if you have any specific questions 🥰 I have to prepare you both though - if I bump into you I will most likely scream 🤣🤣 would be amazing to say hello and for Bonnie to meet Max (our 15 week old Jack Russell)😃 exciting to have festive plans 😃🎄🎄🎄xxx
