100% agreed with the city vs more quiet-ish suburb point- I lived in the city for over a year, but I'm moving to a city-adjacent suburb that's still convenient for work, but definitely not as close to the nice restaurants/ fun city things. like you, I never fully took advantage of having all the city stuff so near, because I'm such a homebody. i don't mind moving to somewhere a little more quiet so you're away from all the hectic energy, especially thinking long term looking forward to seeing your new shared space! Congratulations on moving in together - that's such a big step 👏

congrats on the move! as someone who lives in SF and is looking for a house in the bay area, I have def gravitated towards homes that are not in the city because I want that space and SF just doesn't have too much room for a backyard (and if it did it was too expensive). congrats on your gf's grad too!

i have the kanto tuks for my computer speakers and theyre pretty good, overkill in an apt. however, the volume increments are spaced too far apart so it goes from soft to loud real quick.

I love all the requirements ya'll americans have when searching for a place to rent. Where I live in the Middle East, I can't be picky about the color of the floor, windows, or cabinet; space is always limited. The way we rent is "does it have a bomb shelter? is it available? I'll take it! who care if it's only 450 square feet and half bath, I can just use the bathroom at the gym" damn I wanna live in America.
