Kid and life is just crazy right now. I don't have the time to follow each episode. I love this. It's great for us with small kids and no free time. Once I get the time again I'll go back and binge watch your Alfa series. I have been waiting for that since I saw it the first time.

@@HomeBuiltByJeff I bet is shocked even you how much you have managed to do in the time since you stripped it and sent it off to have what remained of the paint and the hidden filler areas exposed. Do you keep a track of the man hours you put in to a project. I once totaled up the time I put in to an engine swap and decided never to do it again, But the feeling I had knowing I did it myself changed my mind. This video is brilliant.

Wow.....just, wow......first time checking out the video a d my first concern was simply.not replacing the sills on their entirety.....but then.... I continued to watch..... and if something was rubbish, he simply fabricated a new piece.... absolutely impressive and brilliant workmanship. Can't wait to see what this looks like, and more importantly, how it sounds once he's done! Thank you for the eye candy!

Dear Mr and Mrs Jeff, I'm really enjoying the build bits for the Porka and the Alfalfa Sprout. After building a car myself (two actually) I can really appreciate the time and effort you're putting in. Also, I understand and acknowledge the important support required from the bride to undertake such projects. Love the presentations and explanations. Keep it coming as you see fit, but don't forget the work/life balance. The Mrs Jeff bloopers were the best. You rock.

Maybe an idea: The plenum on the Ferrari is quite tall, and will obstruct the view from the steering wheel. I think Maserati uses the same engine in their Qatroporte, but with a lower plenum, as it is a front engined rear wheel drive, not to obstruct the view.

What incredible work. I had a 1968 GT Junior with a 2.0 liter, carbs and a hot cam back in 1986. It was super fun, and also a complete rust bucket. I had thought about fixing some of the rust but now that I've seen what's involved my mind is blown. Blown. Thumbs up and a subscribe, can't wait to see how fast it will with the Ferrari motor.

Pretty crazy how small those engines really are, you never get too much of a perspective just looking at it in the engine bay. Yeah, buddy- somewhere between 5 and 10 episodes sounds about right- as you have warned us many times, sometimes it takes a lot of time to see any progress. I am still amazed that you got around the car going all dimensionally flopsy when you took out so much structure without bracing it to preserve the door sill shape dimension, floor level, etc- scared me silly! I was certified to work on Alfas in the mid '70s- the Guilietta was one of my favorites, but the body shop guys weren't impressed with "dimensional regularity" at all. I can see now why! Much of the pain and detail you went through is more apparent in the "fast forward mode". and some bits that were left on the edit floor- so do this! If nothing else, it should give you some satisfaction that much did get done, though slower than you would have preferred. Mrs. Jeff working on "getting it right" is a worthy reel all by itself!FR

In one word: WOW! In a few more: This is the first time I watch your channel, and my God, are you well organized! And what a job, you basically rebuilt that chassis from the ground up. My only complain is that you make what you do look SO easy - and I know it's not! ;) I was surprised by the relatively small weight difference between the original engine and the Ferrari engine. I look SO much forward to the rest of the serie of videos - you are VERY good at telling a story in the filming alone - you hardly need to explain anything. I will of course binge watch the previous videos...

I have the 105.21, which is the carbureted italian version. I suggest to take care in the rear suspensions, unless you want to build a drift car. The original ones are very crude so you might want some GTA kit which makes the car sit a little on the rear and be less of a hazard. You could also put the same GTA wheels. The front suspensions are great, the wheel needs some tightening up sometimes but yields great sensations. Stylistically if the engine is higher than the original, you might want to consider doing a scalino (little step, see the first series alfa giulia 1600 gt) instead of a bump or a hole. Careful about the body overall, original starts having aerodynamic problems at 160km, with the front that starts getting lift. Personally the original is exhilarating enough, no contest compared to fluffy modern cars. You can beat stronger cars at the green light because you have a very direct feel of the thing. Dynamically, it is already a bit pointed on the front. GTA is a bit better. So with an engine swap (rape!!) you will get a monster. In the rain you have two options, lethal understeer and lethal oversteer so I suggest trying to push it only when you are comfortable enough and with plenty of space.
