Today we’re doing an extreme balcony makeover, on a seriously tight budget! Stay with me as I spruce up my tiny balcony using budget products from IKEA. I am making an extreme balcony transformation that is on the budget, renter-friendly, and anyone can do it!
Plus, I'm taking my inspo from an Italian cafe, so I'm recreating an Italian bistro on my balcony.

I just moved to a smaller apartment and had to throw out most of my stuff including furniture. I’m trying to do a Bali theme and seing your makeover has inspired me. Love the balcony makeover! I have a small deck situation and I have 2 rattan chairs, black round metal table, and pillows/throw all from Ikea. My mat is an outdoor type so easy to sweep or hose off. My rattan chairs are aging a bit but still ok. I like that Ikea still has rattan options though, they no longer sell the chairs I have. Also, totally down with the power wash. So satisfying. So happy Mars has his own chair, as it should be. Heading to Ikea tomorrow and always check your videos before I head over. Thank you for all that you do.

I like the vibes. Mars seems pleased. Regarding the recycling ♻️ center. The fabric dye might bleed onto your patio. Also, the holes for the zip ties will rip. Using metal grommets would strengthen the support. Another option would be 3M claw hooks.

The makeover looks nice. I can't help but prefer the look of the bench from before, but maybe styled in a different way. The cushions in those pretty chairs look like an after thought. That Mars approved chair and the rug are my two favorite pieces!

Didn't understand what the purpose of the cable ties, on the small side table. They don't seem to do anything.

It kept it in place until the glue dried out. They actually prevented it from sliding down 😅

for Mars! The olive tree is going to die if its buried so deep in the ground. The bark cant touch the soil otherwise it will rot in a year or two. You have to plant it exactly at the same level as it was growing before. The balcony turned out great!

I know, but every single plant I've had on this balcony has died on me. It's all my fault because I forget them all the time 😞 So I decided to dedicate my attention to only one big tree, instead of being overwhelmed by several smaller 🙃
