I visited that orphanage as well! Made the long trip from Australia. My mother was adopted from there. The kids were so sweet.

Thank you for your video about Saigon and Soc Trang. We were all born in Saigon and haven't been In Soc Trang to know how big a Catholic convent was. Thanks for sharing your video. Be safe and well.

Went last year for the first time. I don’t know the orphanage I was in. Saigon is amazing! I am another blessed survivor and Adoptee from Germany. All my best to you

Welcome back home to TX. I am about your age and grew up with folks who were adopted from Viet Namn because of the war. Just appreciate you sharing with us 40 somethings about your past and your journey. Thank you...

Great video. I like how you have added that section for tips and have different overlay explaining whats going on. I hope you enjoyed your time back. It's a wonderful place. Subbed so I can see your future posts too x

Thanks Elyce! I'm not as awesome as YOU in front of the camera so I decided to do more overlays. Next trip, maybe I'll go more camera time! Excited to work on episode #2.

Joel KoenigATX no one thinks that they are though. I always felt self conscious when I started but now I just don't worry! I do love overlay though. Looking forward to watching part 2.

Wow! Amazing first episode Joel! That orphanage you visited was really eye opening. We’re both super happy to see you visit the place where you were born! That must have been incredible. Can’t wait for episode 2!!!

Thanks so much for checking it out Lis & Chris! I have a new appreciation for video/sound editors after spending 50+ hours working on this! Having said that? I can't WAIT to start episode 2! Although Mer has asked me to take a little break. Ha. Thanks again for the inspiration!

We totally get it. We're about 6 months behind now on uploading. It's hard to find the time especially with work and other side hustles haha You did such an amazing job on this first video. They'll only get better and better!

So you get jealous too of people that live abroad and vlog all the time of their adventures?? Must be nice. But I don't think I have it in me to drop everything...maybe like 15 years ago!

Travel vlogging as a full time career sounds like a dream! At the time of our Vietnam trip, we were both freelancing/working flexible hours so it was perfect for travel. However, we both recently got full-time jobs and it’s been much harder to edit the vlogs, let alone to travel! :(
