Thank you for sharing this. Gloria's words ministered strongly to my hurting heart. So, so many going home to Glory. Heaven grows sweeter everyday. I grew up on Southern Gospel Music and have attended many Homecoming concerts thru the years. Met Kelly and so impressed with such a sweet soul. This tragedy has impacted so many on this earth, but Heavens choir gained more beautiful voices on that fateful day. Prayers continue not just for all the families impacted by this, but for the Southern Gospel Community as a whole.

I’m so glad to hear this video/audio. I’ve been so concerned for everyone in the Gaither Family and have been praying fervently for them. My family experienced a tragedy in July also, and I know there is nothing like family when tragedy strikes. While listening to this I stand amazed at the timing of the Nelon’s homegoing, while many of you were all together and had each other to share God’s Sufficient Grace.

Yes I now the loss of a family member. NY big sister Susan passed away June 19, 2024. She was taken away to soon but only God knows best.😢 He nows it was time for her to come home. She is with our parents and grandparents up their .

Two of my sisters and I attended the Gaithers Homecoming Concert in Hershey PA last October. We were blessed beyond our expectations as the various artists including The Nelons ministered to a ‘packed sports center’!❤ My mind goes back to the many concerts (sponsored by The Couriers) we attended at the Farm Show Arena in Harrisburg PA. After moving to Southern California in 1979 I heard on the radio about a scheduled Bill Gaither Trio concert featuring Sandy Patty and Danny in Anaheim. I was born and raised in Southwestern Virginia and grew up on ‘good old’ Southern Gospel music and still can’t get enough of it! I have also been blessed by having the opportunity to go with The Gaithers Homecoming Caribbean cruise in 2015. The tragic death of the beloved Nelons, Joe Bonsal and others make me more homesick for our GREAT HOMECOMING with our loved ones. …Even so come Lord Jesus! Shalom‘Until We Meet Again’.

When push comes to shove...we all show what is REAL in our hearts. The testimony to everyone else on that cruise was far louder than any words that might have been spoken! Kelly was so much like my beautiful wife of 46 years I lost in '19 - both physically, musically, and in every other way. Three times this has happened on a Gaither outing...losing Rex in London 24 years ago, Anthony as discussed by Gloria, and now this with most of the Nelons now gone. We weep not for them, but for ourselves. The Word of God never disappoints.

I am heartbroken after hearing this news as I know all of you are too. I have been praying and donating to Autumn and I haven't teared up till this video. God does have a plan and It is going to take some for us to see it. We don't understand it now but we keep praying for God's outcome. I knew when this happened that the gospel music family would come around Autumn and the family. Approx. 10 yrs ago Jason and the Nelons put on a Gaither type concert in Marietta, Ga showcasing local groups. The group I was in at the time (The Davis Trio) was invited. I will never forget how Jason treated us. We were just a local part time group and he treated us like we were equals to him. I will never forget this and hope to tell him about it one day in Heaven.

I know that God does not waste opportunities, in fact he makes opportunities. When something like this happens, that has great gravity on our hearts, God has an undeniable plan. This song There's a Hole In The Heart(of America) was the last recording made by the Nelons before the plane crash. I believe God is going to use this song and the sercumstances surrounding it, to touch Americas heart. PRAISE BE TO THE, ALL KNOWING, ALL SEEING, ALL POWERFUL, ALL PRESENT GOD!!!
