Your voice is incredibly relaxing. Amazing to have on in the background. And to watch again to pay attention 😂😂😂

Great video and Grafana looks interesting. Also, that's a lot of Dreamcasts you have on the shelf!

Nice video. I follpwed the same Techno Tim but I still have an issue. When there is a major spike in power (common where I live) NUT server or even some clients goes Nuts and shutdown the host even if power is restored. In top of that NUT server recycles the whole UPS to bring all down. Do you know how to avoid that? Can you also do a tutorial with the steps for Prometheus exporter?

Hmm not sure on that one... sounds like maybe the initial power down signal comes in and there is a delay until the shutdown, during which time NUT doesn't check again? I'm not a total expert unfortunately, haven't had that situation. I can definitely do a tutorial on the Prometheus exporter - if I can find my notes in the meantime I'll post them here!

@@clabretro understood and thanks. I will appreciate the nut exporter and I will continue digging on this weird issue. If normal power loss the script from Techno Tim works like a charm but when there is this spike in power I get this non sense behavior that I have tested in 2 different systems and UPSs

I use a spike protector to solve problems like that, it often happens with old or cheap UPS.

Great video. just want to thank you once again because I was pissed to find out I could not use the RJ45 to monitor the APC. Knowing about the Network UPS and the link you provided I was able to get it working this weekend. I just notice the cyberpower backup I bought with all my network and POE devices I have about 30 mins up time. Hopefully that's enough time would of love to have more time like an 1hr or something. I have the cyberpower OR500LCDRM1Ua. Thanks once again.

nice! I'm glad it helped. I barely have 30 minutes of uptime for just the servers, so I'll definitely be picking up another UPS.
