The problem with linking our selves to African immigrants is that they do not link themselves to to us. African-Americans Americans were stripped of their ethnicity culture , ancestry stories those are basic human characteristics. I think African Americans are going to have to find I think African Americans are going to have to find identity with in America. African African-Americans have been influenced by Europeans as well as their African heritage. We simply don't share the same history as African immigrants do. They came to this country willingly seek an opportunity , they still speak their language know the customs of their tribe know the history of their own country. African Americans simply don't have any of that.

African Americans will never find a solid identity within America. America was born to die, and die it will. Anybody who bases his/her identity on America is a fool. We must link up with Africa because it is our past and our future. You have been talking to the wrong people. There are African people who recognize Afro-Ams as family.

I sometimes study cultural anthropology so how I look at our culture is remembering that it is rooted in Africa and has many influences when it comes to music , hair, dance, food, while also acknowledging that is was formed here in America. I advice you guys to study the history of African American culture to get a better understanding of how those two worlds connect.
