Mate he was incredible this season. He's a truly talented actor the way he played someone with PTSD. Really annoyed in the way they killed him off and the fact they never even showed his funeral. I didn't care about brody but not Quinn 🤧.

The heart & soul of Homeland is Quinn❤️ His quest to find a life in his terms amidst the turmoil & chaos all around him drew me in like I never have been with a character in a series. I don’t understand why the writers couldn’t pay him the respect of at least letting his character finally attain some peace❤️ He suffered through so much mentally & physically, but he never lost who he was at his core..the elemental part of himself, his spirit. As someone who has PTSD, Friends’ portrayal of Quinn made me feel like a kindred spirit with him. I cried over Quinn’s death, a reflection of how much he moved me❤️

+Abhinaya Mary Koshy Are YOU kidding? Carrie loved him only as a friend and even then sometime I think she doesn't value his friendship that much either. Please by all means give me some examples where she showed reciprocal love. Don't mention that kiss because that felt force on her side. It was like she thought she might as well try it with him because she knew he was in love with her. What makes me sure she wasn't too serious with him is that she had no problem going on with her life with Jonas. Season 5 was the confirmation that she was not in love with Quinn. You probably want them to be together so much that you're seeing things that are not there.

I gave this video a thumbs up because I love the Peter Quinn character and I love Rupert Friend as an actor. As a fan though I have to say that I absolutely HATE how the character was treated and suffered as a "consequence" of other characters actions. Quinn was the best thing about Homeland since inception and especially since the whole Nicholas Brody storyline wrapped up. I feel like Friend/Quinn was done a disservice by the way they were treated. That having been said, I am looking forward to seeing Friend take on some different acting challenges, because he is very talented and extremely underrated.

Carrie's completely and utterly responsible for everything bad that happened to Quinn following the conversation by her car. From the prior bullshit, to the condition he was left in and ultimately, his death. I was half-hoping he's not actually dead, but yeah - looks like we've lost the best character. She could have easily retired from the agency, gone with Quinn and lived her life with a mentally (somewhat) stable Quinn and her daughter. True happiness was in the midst. Damn homeland is tragic lol

Well, to be fair to Carrie, it was Quinn’s choice to not wait for her to get back from seeing her mother, and instead chose to ship off to Syria for an unknown amount of time. He couldn’t wait 2 days for her to get back so they could talk? Yeah, she screwed up a bunch of times, but I was pretty mad at him for just giving up and running away from her.

@@kerrylake4751 totally agree. His response to go on the mission was everything as wilful and impulsive as anything Carrie did. He chose the mission and not to give her a minute to process (my God, her dad had just died and she’d just seen the mother who abandoned her for the first time in years). He chose to take those kill assignments from Saul in Germany. He chose to fall into the jihadi group and head to Syria, getting Dar to sanction it. Carrie knew absolutely nothing about those things. The only thing she knowingly did was risk his life by bringing him out of the coma.

Today they killed Peter Quinn. Today I saw his guts fill up with lead. Today I saw blood spew out of his mouth. Today I saw the life drain out of him. Today they killed Peter Quinn. Today I cried. Today I cried over the fact that he had nothing. Today I cried over the fact that he was so ill. Today I cried over the fact that he couldn't see her love for him. Today I cried, because they killed Peter Quinn. Today I screamed. Today I screamed, "Why did you do it?" Today I screamed, "He deserved better!" Today I screamed, "WHY?! Why him?!" Today I screamed, because they killed Peter Quinn. Today I mourned. Today I mourned over the loss of a great soldier. Today I mourned over the loss of a great friend. Today I mourned over the loss of a man who didn't show it, but was already dying within. Today I mourned, because today, they killed Peter Quinn. - Jiya Jain

#NoQuinnNoHomeland Honestly, the only reason I watched homeland was because of him. From the first episode that he came on the show, I honestly fell in love with him. The way he acted the part so well, and to later find out that he was BRITISH, was extraordinary in my eyes! And then, (speaking about the character now) to have gone through so much in his life, and to STILL put everyone before himself was the biggest life lesson I think I’ve ever learned. Rupert Friend is an ASTOUNDING actor, extremely underrated but super talented, and I hope he goes on to win many awards! X Killing him off was the biggest mistake homeland had ever made, people loved and adored him, and the writers and producers knew that, but then still decided to cut him out. I have finished watching season 7, and from the first minute of the first episode, it’s just not the same without him. And I know that it’s been 2 years, but I’ll still never be able to forgive homeland for doing that to our dear Peter Quinn!

I am behind. But I just finished season 6 and I’m pretty sure a piece of my soul died with this character. How heartbreaking!!! I don’t feel we got the closure we deserve with Quinn. I know you mention a memorial. But why couldn’t it be filmed or something at least. It was like oh he’s dead and that’s it. For a guy that protected his friend Carrie all those times. His story deserved much more still. I feel the characters loss greatly in season 7. It’s not the same at all! And for all those saying Carrie didn’t love Quinn. Are wrong. She did love him. Maybe not the in the way some people wanted, but she did. She said so herself it was a intense relationship. Look at the work they did. You need someone who understands the hardships of what you go through. His death just sucks.

Do the writers really think this makes up for the lame writing and killing off the only good/loved character in the show? Carrie has become completely unlikable. They tortured Quinn for 2 seasons straight while we all hung in there hoping for some light at the end of the tunnel for Quinn. Do the writers really think we wouldn't have been willing to suspend our disbelief if Quinn recovered?? The world we live in is so dark. Some fictional happiness would be welcome. Recovery for Quinn and maybe even a shred of happiness would have made fans elated. If Quinn doesn't miraculously appear in season 7, I'm done with Homeland for good. No reason to even keep Showtime. He's the only reason I watched.

She was ready to kill Saul after haqinni killed his nephew which he had s** with . well she's ready to fk anybody . For her , the boy was more valuable than Sual who stood by him every day professionally and personally. If they were so desperate to kill someone then it should've been Saul! His storyline has ended ages ago, no one cares about his Mira drama or his ambiguous feelings towards Carrie. I tend to disagree. He died not so much for Keane but for what she represented. He’s a patriot and that was the right thing to do in that situation. I think he died heroically for his country, preventing the vortex of chaos. In season 6 he said more than once “you’ve gotta let me go”. He knew he was doomed and that was the destiny he’s chosen. And about the funeral…he wouldn’t have wanted one with people around saying nice words about him. It’s who Quinn is, forever a mystery.

I reckon they'll be good. Should be interesting to see how the current storyline pans out. Also there are loads of loose ends to tie up from the first couple of seasons.

It would have been lame for him to magically recover from the coma and stroke. His PTSD portrayal was perfect. There wasn’t much else that could be done with his character, unless y’all wanted a cheap ass fairytale cop out. His arc was sad but well told. Much respect to Rubert.

You can't kill Quinn... you just can't. Not fair, you made him to die a heroic death for what? So Keane would be a villain? I'm done with Homeland, I love Claire Danes but this season she is like a zombie, not feeling a fucking thing. Bad writing is what I call, because the actors were incredible. Better ressurrect him, I don't know how, but do your fucking job.

@omba Manners, dude. Of course I understand that. Of course Quinn didn't know that Keane was a bitch either. Even so, it was bad written his end. My point is he didn't need to die, they could let Quinn live AND save Carrie plus the bitch president. That would make him an hero too, not a threat to the bitch president anymore since the people at his car managed to survive. The only reasonable explanation to me is that he didn't die but faked his death, just like the book he was keeping at Carrie's house. He could be used by someone (CIA, any intelligent service, Dar Adal, -fill the blank-) to unmask the bitch president. If he is REALLY dead, Homeland became a ridiculous tv series. His portrait with someone with PTSD that managed to survive his problems was thrown away, just showed us that he had no solution at all, besides all his efforts. His biggest effort, killing himself to save Carrie and Keane wasn't important enough to show us a memorial, or anything to indicate that he is really dead (ok, the death scene is pretty obvious, but I find very weird he wasn't wearing a bulletproof vest, for an example). It is unfair to Quinn after everything the man has gone through the series. He deserves better screenwriting.

I got to know the drama Homeland really late, so I've been watching it like crazy for the last couple of weeks. It's huge, and the actors are really good at acting. I couldn't understand what Carrie Mathison was saying or choosing for a moment, but after watching Homeland step by step again, I understand. I think she just made an efficient choice for anti-terrorism, anti-war. There were times when she didn't want to, but unfortunately, a handful of sacrifices happened. Most of all, my favorite character was Peter Quinn. He's a wonderful-looking human weapon, but he has a good conscience and a warm heart. He has a cool voice and he's kind of cute, nice-looking, but he has a good-looking, slightly shaded face. I think the character was expressed several times better because Rupert Friend played Peter Quinn. He acted really well. In particular, the facial expression that made the final judgment behind the wheel just before he died was incredible. Peter Quinn loves Carrie, but I think he ordered her to lie down on the president-elect because he was a patriotic soldier. If Carrie died or was injured, he would have thought that was right. I think it's a similar case that Carrie and Saul forced him to wake up to ask for terrorist information when he was in a coma due to sarin gas poisoning. It's a shame what it would have been like if Peter Quinn had given Carrie a little more time in the last part of Season 4 and if not, he would have contacted her. The contents of his letter to Carrie are so heartbreaking and beautiful that I keep thinking about it again. Rupert Friend played the role of a ptsd patient with hemiplegia, and he did a great job. I really want to compliment him a lot. I'm going to be interested in the works that Rupert Friend came out in the future. I got to know a great actor who is really attractive. (I'm not an English speaker, but I'm using a translator, so please understand even if there's something a little awkward about it.)

I still can’t get over it but now that some time has passed and I saw homeland end, I think Quinn lives on as a guide (as he said in the letter) for Carrie as she continues doing her duty in Russia. You can’t be loved like Carrie was and not be changed by it. Besides, had Quinn been alive things couldn’t have played out as it did in Season 7 and 8. He probably would’ve hated the choices his colleagues made. I’m just happy that Quinn went out as himself. Unhindered, he made a choice despite his personal circumstance. He still knew who he was and what he wanted to protect. Will always remember that. I know in my heart Quinn was the only person who knew the real Carrie and she’ll have him with her for the rest of her life. 💖

First of all I had no plan to watch this season because I thought Quinn had died in the finale of the last one and that was a no no for me, however in August I found out that the actor was coming back so "homeland" had my trust once again. Now, I haven't watched the finale yet, I go to my youtube subscription feed and see this video with this title and a warning in the description box saying "this video contains spoilers from the season finale". Are you kidding me? The spoiler is in the title itself!! I don't even know wether I'm angrier for the spoiler or for Quinn's death..

Season 4 was THE BEST season for sure. Not only was it fucking insane and action packed (the breach at the embassy) but we finally got to see a beautiful moment between Carrie and Quinn. I'm honestly so fucking depressed and confused. I know this might seem a little melodramatic but i couldn't even sleep last night because i was crying and reminiscing on all of the amazing moments we got to see where Quinn was involved. To be honest though... I can't help shake the feeling that Quinn might actually be alive. There are so many instances that made me wonder if this is all an act. First of all, the gunshot wounds (although there was a lot of blood), they shouldn't have been fatal considering they were on his shoulders. Also, Carrie didn't even check his pulse, she just assumed he died while his eyes were actually still moving a bit. There was no memorial, no instance of him being at the hospital or pronounced dead, no open casket. Also, when Dar went to go talk to Saul and told him that there was a young "classics professor" that would want to hear from him and then later we see Carrie finding a "CLASSIC" novel with Quinn's pictures inside. This could all be a cover up to help Quinn restore his reputation and to take a break from all of the violence. Also, with him "dead" no one would suspect that Saul, who's in prison, and Carrie have someone that is watching their backs, while also plotting how to take down Keane the evil wench. I don't know if i'm just reading to much into this but there are just so many unanswered questions. I think if he's actually dead, they made a terrible fucking decision because a lot of people, if not most, were watching the show to see the dynamic between Carrie and Quinn. Someone please give me some hope!!! I'm losing my mind here :'(

You know what, I think Peter Quinn could still come back. It's possible. The writers could do it. They simply need convincing that he is needed. There is a theory online that says that the "young teaching fellow in the classics department" could be Quinn, coz later we see a Classic novel that belonged to him. I am not gonna believe Quinn is dead, until I see his cold dead body with my own eyes.

can someone explain why Quinn had to drive through the blockade? They could have all exited the vehicle and the police would have seen that the president was still alive, and thus would have no reason to shoot, and the black ops guys wouldn't overly assassinate the president in broad daylight. is it just me?
