I prefer these superhero movies over the more mainstream ones. It’s more realistic, if there were superheroes in real life they would probably as corrupt, capitalized on by business, and more importantly, human, as theyre portrayed in the show

exactly i think it shows the 3 types of heros we would end up with if superpowers were reality the naive helpful kind souls like annie. the corrupt and capitalized corpate heros like noir. then the hero or heros who inevitablely realise their stronger then literally every other being on the planet and become detached from humanity as a whole like homelander since being raised as a labrat made him resentful of vaught and aggressive along with abusive. But i reckon he would have his view of humanity even if he was raised by a family since him and solider boy are simply stronger then literally everyone. its like with a sentence from omniman why would i take orders from ants. like if your the strongest being on the planet you will inevitablely become lonely and detatched because you would have no one to relate to

I can tell how evil homelander is. But I am starting to learn that homelander is not evil or a villain, in my mind what I’m starting to believe is that he is a tragic broken villain/hero and a little bit mental. Thing about why homelander a tragic hero and maybe a villain is that during his life, he had a completely isolated and loveless childhood and was treated like a science experiment for most of his formative years, which led to his twisted personality as an adult. Plus, In his childhood, he was abused by his science doctors who tortured him and forcing him to be a superhero which didn’t go well.
