I disagree. That is seeking salvation by your own works, which nullifies the cross of Jesus. WE can't do it. All our righteousness is as dirty rags says the Word of God. Salvation is about repentance & surrender. It's putting your faith entirely in God, not yourself.

Good sir... I wouldn't tell someone who may NOT be a believer WITH A SAVING FAITH (not just knowing the facts intellectually), that the promises of God belong to them. (God promises to never forsake His followers.) The only prayer of a lost sinner (a lifestyle characterized by sin) that God hears is the prayer of repentance. She can't get out from under this bondage on her own. She needs to b shown the way of salvation & understand the change it will make in her life when she becomes reconciled to God thru the sacrifice of Jesus/thru His blood. THEN the power of God can b manifest in her person & circumstances, thru her faith in Him.
