Joey, you often discredit your side tangents/rambles as unimportant or off-topic. I personally enjoy your anecdotes and feel like they add to the conversational piece of the videos. When I watch your videos, I feel like I'm listening to a good buddy and just having a chat. I tune in for the rambling and always enjoy learning more about you, as weird as that might sound. Hope you're doing well. keep up the good work!

There’s not really a point to work for someone else these days. Jobs pay you just enough to get by, and many times not even that. Most of what you earn goes right back out to taxes, rent, and living expenses.

Dude Joey, I have long hair but not nearly as long as yours-mine is like 3" past my shoulders-and I have had many many "growing seasons" between haircuts, and never once in my life have o ever dealt with a knot. I never had to comb my hair meticulously, and i could always get away with just raking my fingers through it, and then in 2023, I started getting tiny knots that I could just brush through with my hands, and then they became little granny knots, and those knots got so tough i had to rip them apart to where my fists would shake (it was like little gnomes were tying triple knots in my hair at night), and then one day i discovered the first serious knot-more like a dreadlock-the size of a grape tomato, and no amount of running shower water, combing, picking, pulling, conditioner, or detangling spray would fix it, and then that one started growing a d they started spreading. My lasy friend told me to tie my hair up before bed and keep it tied during the day, and it'll stop the progress of knots and it'll help the other ones already there begin to shrink... But now they're much worse. I need to get a haircut, but I think because at least one of em (maybe two of em) are so close to my scalp that even a haor stylist would say the only option is to shave my head, and I don't want to do that. I keep it tied up all the time now because it kinda hides how i sane my hair looks. Seriously, when I have to let it down to wash it (spending two hours at times in the shower combing my hair and those giant dreadlock knots wont budge), when it's not tied up, I seriously look scary lol like mentally insane, like I grew up feral/mixed with Marilyn Manson from "The Nobodies" video 😅 Any hair care tips? You seem to have perfectly straight "fine hair", i think that's how people classify it? I have strong, healthy hair that grows quick and long like yours as well, but my hair is super thick and a mix of straight and wavy (I'm Apache native on my mom's side), so I got that side of the family's good hair and good teeth lol maybe my hair is _"too healthy"_ lmao.

I second this. I feel like he tries so hard to resonate his experiences with others that he neglects his own life perhaps, or maybe it’s more of a familiarity thing? Speaking as a recovering addict and been sleeping in a car before I can say that that life becomes comfortable enough when you’re blasted out of your mind 24/7. Thankfully with Joey, I don’t see him ever using drugs but like I said it could be a number of things but It would be cool to get a real life update.

As a very early (pre 2000 subs) subscriber I am just not sure what the whole situation is with the van and why he is still stuck at the same place for this long! With all due respect, I’ve found the opposite. When I was happy outwardly, it didn’t always work. Life taught me that positivity is bullshit. As you partly told the truth earlier “Be genuine”. Now I prefer being real and I find that far more helpful. If I’m going through a bad time, I try to be private but sometimes, someone may catch me looking pensive. Some will care, most won’t. So around those who don’t care and who only care about themselves, I go into my own inner world and get away from those people if I can. If they do care, I need to make sure they can handle me being open. Even my own Mom was not one of those people. In fact, she said “I only ever want to hear good things come out of your mouth. If you have nothing happy or good to say, go pay someone who will hear your troubles.” Needless to say, she and I aren’t close anymore, much to my sadness. Anyway, but if someone can be strong to handle you being open with them, then I will be angry but not sin (as God says to do) or show my sadness or worries. If they can’t handle it, I move on from them as quickly as possible. If I’m in a genuine nice mood, I don’t like that positivity shit still. I remain genuine. I defer to God and do what I can without doing anything sinful or anything which sacrifices my dignity, such as prostitution, crime, unnatural sex practices, or art nonsense. I keep to myself and mind my own business with my husband and we try to help others who are in genuine need. That gives me joy to help someone else out who genuinely needs it and who isn’t self-destroying themselves aka perishing.

Hey Joey, seriously thanks for explaining why certain art pieces are super expensive. I’m not being a smart ass at all and that totally makes sense. I have a pastel/chalk drawing of a still life, Harley Davidson that was in my art room in High School. Shout out Waukesha North high school, class of 98. But anyways, I drew it when I was 14 years old and it looks amazing and I won’t ever part with it. I paid $300 had it framed and matted and I’ve done that to a few of my drawings. I won’t ever sell them because I know how much time and effort was put into it. I hated while in jail people were so cheap and didn’t wanna pay $10 for an amazing portrait. Some people were trying to hustle me when I charged six dollars lol but it kept me busy.

They gave me money and then they claimed fraud on me. Trying to get my bank account shut down. So i knew i needed to depend on myself. And be okay with not having a whole lot or having much of a life. I have to start seeing that i could end up being homeless and if i do it could be years of homelessness but i can make it better with a little more money on me. I think you are right about REALLY needing the money and panhandling. I really hate pan handlers for two reasons. One i've lived in poverty for the entirety of my adult life. And two ninety nine percent of the pan handlers i've run into have been complete D**ks. If I was gonna give money to a guy I'd walk by first and see if her curses me or says 'hey sorry to bother you.' A few times I've turned around and hooked up the sorry to bother you guy. I really hate the aggresive pan handlers as at 52 I cam from a generation when people helped strangers. Now you can't help strangers because of all the lying people making up stories.

when they ask why you didn't do Doordash and Uber eats... the reasoning is that each person is constantly developing an ecosystem around them. The answer to them is the same reason they would give if you asked them why they didn't perform standup comedy or draw portraits. People can do what they set themselves up to do and what will move them forward. That question, in the moment, is an honest question with good intentions, but the answer is equally complex for each person. Why aren't you running for President?

Mr joey, i have encountered some interesting information. It is the principle of equivalent exchange, i dont know if you've ever heard of it, but it states that: "for anything given, you must receive something of people with greater value, and for anything received or expected, you must sacrifice or give something of equal or greater value." Which in mind it goes hand in hand with the "energy cannot be created or destroyed" statement. Very intriguing now that i think about it and how much low effort i truly put out there

On the topic of art and the reasoning behind price, don't forget money laundering, tax fraud/evasion/whatever and probably a few other, less honest reasons. There's some artists like Salvador Dali where you can completely understand why people pay outrageous prices for his work but then you get paintings that are just colors thrown together and people are paying around the same price. I watched something where they had children paint stuff and they showed them at an exhibit, all these rich people who think they know what they're talking about were saying things about the meaning, the artist's emotions, etc it was hilarious! 🤡🌎
