Yes indeed, and the best of it was that it was free of charge as well. On a serious point though, these homeless cats need some serious help in being rehomed & also being well cared for. They won't survive for long on the streets being homeless.

The fact that you used a little remote-controlled car with a camera on it to get the food to them so that they would be less likely to feel frightened or threatened and run away is just too adorable for words! I notice that the kitten was (understandably) more eager to investigate the food but it still held back and allowed its mother to decide whether or not it was safe.

There was a family of feral cats around my house, a mama, a papa and 3 kittens. I believe that everyone deserves a happy belly and a safe place, so I rearranged my deck and started feeding them, and I always try to get the best food and quality treetz. Basically, they get what my kitty gets, wet food, dry food and treetz. Now they live under my house, and that's great because they're safe and my heater vents under the house, so it's warm too. I named them and I love watching them play in the yard.

My brother was lonely because his cat had died recently. So he started feeding a stray cat coming to his door, he noticed it was getting fat, then suddenly he had a cat and five kittens. He did not get the mom spayed fast enough. Because the first litter was still nursing. and then he had five more kittens. So from feeding a cat, he ended up with 11 cats. And yes got them all spayed and neutered but what a job that was!

The older cat let the kid go first to see if it was eaten. When it wasnt, the older cat partook. That was more smart than brave. As much as i appreciate and embrace the human concept of bravery (combat infantry and firefighter here), it's purely a human one. Even if the older cat is the parent, it knows it can always make more offspring. It cant make another one if itself. That wisdom/instinct for self preservation, i believe, is what drove the behavior.

They do this because they can't chew on their food effectively the only animals that chew their food pretty well are insects, omnivores and herbivores Carnivores evolve special stomachs to reduce the food to be able to pass through which is why some carnivores eat rocks to help break it down

Cats just feel uncomfortable having they whiskers dirty with food, so they take it bit by bit. Also it's simply more convenient, has nothing to do with the kitten. Moreover, if you study big cats, you'll find out the the leaders of a cat group should eat up first.

This is probably the best thing I've seen all week. The momma cat was skeptical. She's watching the movement, scared from past experiences. The kitten crawls down the rock, it's humble and clumsy movement startling its mother. The kitten knows no real fear or abuse yet and trusts the food before its mother does; even when both of them smells it. The kitten inches closer, taking a bite and then its mother starts to eat as well. Its amazing to watch humans and nature in the great cycle together. We are here to watch after these animals, taking only what we need. At least, that is the way it is supposed to be. I was a trophy hunter in my youth, and the more I watched animals; the more I realized how smart and emotional they are. You can develop a bond with a wild bear if you know what you are doing. Don't try that at home by the way. Lol.

We have spent thousands of dollars having cats spade and neutered over the years. We feed and protect the kittens from predators. Last spring we raised four orphaned raccoon pups. We took them out to a lake at 5 months and released them. We feel it is our duty to help God’s beautiful creatures. Thanks for feeding these! I’m going to add that in the following spring I raised six homeless kittens and their mother. I found homes for five and one is a friend to our current other two cats. We had the mother cat fixed!

MIlk is bad for cats. It gives them the runs, which in turn dehydrates them. The only time you should give milk to a cat is when their intestines are blocked by hairballs and only to relive said blockage.

@@johnbernstein7887 ... thanks for reply, but thinking of room service order, milk randomly came into my mind. Could have been any beverage like beer, juice, vodka, etc. By the way, I own two cats and I never feed them milk. Peace to you!
