I could be homeless living out of just a backpack. I would be transient, stay clean showering at gyms, be considerate of others, and not litter or loiter in public spaces. I would carry myself like I was not homeless so I could hangout at cafes and shops, but not stay anywhere for too long. I definitely wouldn't hoard. I'd carry just what I need on my back and take any services offered to find a home, and get back on my feet. Being houseless is hard, being considerate of others should not be, regardless of your circumstances. Therefore, as someone that lost my home to fire and was displaced with just the clothes on my back...I cannot condone this lifestyle that imposes upon others in any way. This is sad, but we must be considerate of others that may have homes, but might also have their own financial problems, mental health issues, or physical disabilities. This could be negatively impacting them in some way. Here, children, elderly, and handicapped cannot even use restrooms in an emergency. They are protected classes of people too. This isn't right! This isn't fair to them!

Don't use any restroom in Venice Beach. Wear a mask, but not because of Covid, and be careful where you sit. In fact, don't sit anywhere outside. Enjoy the boardwalk, the shops, venders, restaurants, the pier and the beach. Don't bring kids.

The guys name is Thomas… he takes care of the lady that screams.. Thomas is often seen cleaning the boardwalk in the early hours.. he hates living on the streets. He is waiting for accommodation to be found.. he IS a nice guy with a tragic story to tell.

Given the various people who still wear face masks & were hypochondriacs during Covid (eg, public officials who locked down & restricted everything), how do they deal with the idea of homeless living in unsanitary public restrooms & relieving themselves (#1 & #2) god-knows-where? I read that a major business in downtown LA requires that employees before entering the workplace clean their shoes. People apparently were tracking in residues of human waste.

People are so quick to judge 😢… a lot of these homeless have addictions /mental health problems and should not be condemned for that. Some have a tragic story as to why they have ended up homeless through no fault of their own. Yes there are the ones who are unsavoury and to be avoided.. but NOT all are like that. The guy in this video is called Thomas and he is often cleaning up the boardwalk in the early hours. He is NOT a lazy bum.. maybe a few kind words to him would make a world of difference…

You know a lot of people have there own opinions about the homeless problem the state of California and that’s there right to not everyone is going to have compassion for the homeless most of the homeless need to be in a mental hospital where they can get medical care a state shouldn’t look like this where someone is camping out on a beach and leaving there trash look at skid row now that’s bad some of these homeless made a choice in life where it ended them on the streets just my opinion.
