German Shepherd Chained Up Entire Life Gets Free Bear Hugs To Show Him Love | Amazing Reaction
Herschel, a five year old German Shepherd, who looks like a giant teddy bear, has had a pretty miserable life so far.
Chained up and neglected in a backyard for much of his life, his teeth are whittled down from constant gnawing on the chains that held him captive.
Herschel, also called Bear, has been surrendered twice. Dogs chained up for long periods of time don't learn the basic skills that those living in caring families learn. As a result some inexperienced owners become frustrated and give up.
Dog Tethering Is All Too Common
Tethering a dog for long periods of time is unfortunately very common; millions are left with short chains around their necks all year around, in the snow to freeze and in the sun to suffer.
But Bear has finally caught his lucky break! He was surrendered to Michelson Found Animals who got him the medical and grooming attention he needed. But another obstacle still remains; many people shy away from adopting German Shepherds. He's not a puppy, he's very large (almost 100 pounds), and lacks a few basic skills like properly walking on a leash with a human.

Most people live in apartments and if his owners didn't give him up for this reason well pups bite . Wait I this this person is the dog whisperer. He helped me train my pup in so many different things and built trust so much that I rolled down a hill on accident and he copied me. I sold him because I was looking for a place to live and barking would be a problem with younger pups.

🌈 I had a German Shepard named Bear! the two of them would have been best doggy friends🙃. But last year we had to give him a way and I cannot stop crying that day because I spent every day loving and playing with him, and having him take an away for me was horrible, 😭but he was given to a good friend of my dad‘s that had a lot of land and a little active dog. the beginning of this year we got a message that he passed away in his sleep and it was one of the worst days of my life hearing that, I still cry to this day thinking about Bear! 💗All dogs in this world deserve a loving home, I cried while watching this video! Bear is so sweet and adorable! I’d hug him for eternity! 🥰
