To clarify for everyone, Search and Rescue is an emergency service and is free to patients almost anywhere in the world, funded by taxes and public fundraises. The only time airlifts and transports are not free is when there is a secondary option the patient can choose with exceptions to some low-staffed or equipped services. Any first response service detailed to preserving life will not charge unless they are being used outside their primary purpose.
