What a blessing. When I was homeless on Thanksgiving day, a young couple came to our camp of 4 and handed out complete turkey dinners!! I will remember that meal for the rest of my life. I was alone. I was hungry and I was poor. And all while being homeless with no family at Thanksgiving. Man, that was a low time in my life but through prayer and hard work, I now live in a $250,000 home with 2 cars. God is good all the time.

Couple of summers ago my car was broke down so I was just using my bike, which is something I'm already accustomed to doing. I was going through some hard times and donating plasma parking my bike at the center. A car pulled up to a homeless guy and gave him something. Then they a Couple, came up to me as I was locking things up and gave me a styrofoam to go container with some chicken and rice, some green beans, a corn muffin and four grapes and a plastic fork. I didn't realize I was so hungry but I gobbled it down before I even went in to donate. When you know food is made with love, it tastes amazing.

Austin gracias for sharing your, message and I know wboit is like to have no family at thanksgiving around when ur are homeless and I ws in Colorado , when bi experience this , my Esposo, brang me here for us to make a cabin home an married just 7-8months in Az from ther coming to Colorado and he decided to leave me .... and I knew nothing of Colorado and weather was colder ever, and I pray for a place to sleep in my car safe and than .. a door open, by a pastor sharing my situation to another Sister in Christ.., an I got to move into a place, but those 2 weeks of being in a car in winter season of Colorado 🥺😟freezeing awfully cold 🥶.. an it was a youngman GodsLoving sent me to have thanksgiving with him an fellowship at his place with others and I wasn’t alone, he is Now a pastor of his Church 4 years later, an became my Big Brother, and I might not have my marriage, ( for widow now),no family in Colorado, I do have my big brother now, I have a home church, I have a place to sleep with my pets, and Bless, might not have built our cabin home 🏡, may my husband Rest In Peace... and I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ what is the next chapter of my Life, now that I’m in my middle 60’s :♥️☝️♥️🕊♥️GodsLoving HAS A PLAN, ♥️Jeremiah 29:11; I watch Michael helping out the house less, and I hope he encounters my nephew & niece been living on th street of Tucson more than 4years... and lost everything also their children...( to adoption)..,I pray for them to come back to their Familia in Tucson sometime soon

Its also often the case that people with very little are willing to share what few things they have with other people in need too , its pretty sickening the amount of food most people end up throwing away when there are people who really need it so bad

For everyone watching you don’t need to be well off to help even small gestures help .You can even get creative go through coats and blankets you no longer need wash up and hand out .or if you only have $20 to spare and really want to help get few loaves of bread peanut butter make sandwiches and get a case of water on sale for $3 and hand out sandwiches and water or get a huge family size of granola bars for $5 to include . Or if your going to McDonald’s for a coffee and have a coffee card full that comes on the side of the cup cash in the free coffee for the person sitting out front that has nothing. Everywhere has points like 7-11 you can cash in for snack items or coffee for free that’s a cheap way to pay it forward and warm up someone on the streets .the small things we take for granted can mean so much to someone with nothing.❤️

U r an inspiration my friend. I also go oit and help the homeless. I once lived in a tent for 2 months and god has blessed me today. My wife works at a homeless shelter. I make big pots of chili or stew and pass it out. We get alot of donations of clothes and hygiene. We must take care of our brothers and sisters. We are all human. Bless u brother

Most street ppl are ignored by others who brush them aside and pretend they don't exist. But they are children of God and have a soul just like we do which matters to their Father in Heaven.

Working with the homeless can be quite rewarding... and frustrating at times. You seem to possess the perfect attitude and personality for the calling, take it all in stride and focus on the need.
