I’ve got the straight shaft version, works great and eats all my shitty old gas without an issue, I like the spool on it and I haven’t touched my larger ryobi in 2 years, worth the 110$, also rip the guard off if you’re ballsy and bring the line out some more, works 10x better, just wear some long pants and eye protection

For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. kzbin.infoUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself.Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.

Good video. As long as you use good fresh gas oil mix no problems. Electric is a rip with batteries iv fixed gas trimmers and cheap ones like homelite are good. You dont need a $200 $300 trimmer like people say. One other tip run out of gas before storing longterm.

@NowellHolmes3 жыл бұрын
Only an electric could be easier. This one is very straight forward to start, and operate, and the reloading of string require no disassembly. I run it on old gas just to test it under worst conditions. Still going after years of abuse and left with old fuel sitting in it over winter. Nothing about it has been remotely difficult for me. Perhaps you'd care to share what you consider difficult.

I don't know what to tell you... I've used mostly poor quality mixing oil, and typically bit fresh gasoline... My sim has been to not treat it nicely ... And I've had nothing but good results from this machine. I used it for typically 2 hrs at a time as we have a larger property... Taller grass as well... And through all the abuse and neglect I've thrown at it for years.. it always starts up with ease.. for the price... It has performed extremely well... I expected to maybe get a season out if it ... But as you can see from the date of video posting... It's been going for a while. :) Thanks for watching.
