just a quick and simple way to make a cheap and easy car mount that was iphone and ipad friendly and easy to transfer from car to car!just a crazy thought that works!

Dude! Awesome idea. I used it for my wireless monitor for the camera on my 30 foot 5th wheel trailer. The wireless backup camera/monitor kit came with several mounting solutions that none of which I wanted to use for the monitor because they required drilling holes or sticking stuff to the dashboard. Your solution is the KIND! Thank you so much for posting the video.

Ok so I tried this yesterday and I use a otterbox for my mini....I used Velcro on the back of the tray and it works perfectly....thank you for this great video....I also would like to note that I had a extra tray for my case so I leave that in the car and one in the house :)

Just did this in my 05 Mustang GT with a Kenwood x997 head unit. Great idea. I did use a slim hard case tho and wrapped some black tape on the side that slides under the unit for a more secure fit. Good job for the money man!

Use the same idea and try mounting this on your steering wheel, i have done with success and is more steady that way. Also after mounting on steering wheel, unlock the accelerometer.

I thought it was permanent adhesive on the Velcro and therefore would either eat the paint off the back when attempting to remove them or just leave it very sticky. Did it actually hold up pretty good as you was driving around? I'm trying to put together a ipad mount myself for my cars (cannot have it screwed or glued. Need to move it between three cars)
