By the way... if you want to make the open-cup sound a bit more "cuppy" (lol) - try lining that funnel part, some felt if you can find it (heck if you want to keep it ghetto, lint would probably do it). As far as intonation goes... if the bottom F# won't slot/speak properly at a solid F dynamic, it generally means it's not going into the bell far enough, so you'd want to remove some material from the corks/substitutes - looks like you might be kinda limited by how large the soda bottle opening is on that one (this time) maybe? (you'll get this sometimes even with brand new, high quality mutes - sometimes the corks are deliberately oversized to fit big bells and need some sanding/cutting down to play properly in a smaller bell).

Thanks for the suggestions! I've considered the felt side of things like in the Jo-Ral cup mutes and I've filed down the "corks" (weather stripping) as best as I can.

Good question. I have no idea. A 2L soda bottle may have worked on a small-bore baritone but I doubt it would fit a euphonium.
