It's interesting that people in the countryside, living in much worse conditions, prepare food for you that is much cleaner and sterile than what you can see in movies from Indian urban fast food. It's nice that they are so kind and show you what they have without shame ❤ Not far from where I live, the couple had a small group of peacocks, on warm days their strange squawking woke me up early in the morning :) nice memories

Try to eat Jowar (sorghum) another millet mostly cultivated in Maharashtra state. It also gluten free and easily digestible with more health benefits. You can eat Jowar throughout year

Sister here in India befor 1000 years marriage 1000 years ago there used to be swayamvar for marriage in which the girls used to choose their husband of their choice or there used to be a test which would be passed and only that girl would be chosen as her husband, like Draupadi and Sita

Ohh!! I always missed millet Rotla( Flat bread) Though I buy fresh from Los Angeles Indian store. But never get the same taste, which we used to eat from from millet in village. And along with Jaggery, Green chili pickle and some times with Fresh milk and White butter. I really missed it here.

Yes, it’s not possible to visit home city “Ahmedabad” quite often. But when ever I came, visited my Aunt’s village and enjoyed Rotla in their family farm house.
