I made this dish eith a taste of ITALIAN style 🇮🇹
This is perfect on winter or cold days. Infact here in Italy when its winter you can see vendors sellings this. They're especially popular around the Christmas holidays.
It’ very easy to make less work at all and there is no special equipment required. All it takes is 20 minutes of your time.
chestnuts are crunchy and bitter when raw, their flavor and texture are transformed once roasted, becoming tender (and slightly spongy), sweet, and buttery, with a subtle nutty flavor, yet most often compared to sweet potato.
This dish can be enjoyed on their own, as a festive winter snack or after-dinner treat. They pair well with a bottle of wine. Its also very often eaten alone, roasted over a fire in a special perforated pan, or even baked in the oven, like in this recipe.
