Loved Smith's hunting style of taking pot shots at mooses falling out of trees. It's unorthodox and spectacular.

You guys should do a competition where you split up and have a limited amount of time to get the highest score. It would be a good way to add a little friendly rivalry while encouraging everyone to take a little care with their shots.
@sirBrouwer2 жыл бұрын
This is HAT Films they will just start shooting each other. If the others are dead you will have the highest score by default.

Dragging an actual deer out of the woods is a pain in the ass. Given that at the time I was 14, and the deer probably weighed about the same as me, if not more, it was definitely a challenge, and took a long time, so I can see why games don't include that part. Plus, then you really need to check yourself for ticks, they leave the deer as it starts to get cold, and the next closest warm thing is you.

I used to work at my local newspaper in a little town in the Maine woods, and I can assure you, people get themselves killed on snowmobiles _all. The. Time._ If they're not falling through the ice crossing insufficiently frozen lakes, they're riding illegally on backcountry roads and crashing into pickups, and if they're not doing _that,_ they're getting drunk and riding them at ludicrous speeds into trees. I had a game warden once tell me he thought that day's particular dead dentist from Massachusetts (as far as I can tell, these people are all dentists from Massachusetts) had been doing 150 miles an hour when he had his encounter with Mr. Pine, which was a surprise to me, as I had no idea those things could _go_ 150 miles an hour. Apparently some of them can.

I know a surgeon in northern Sweden. Snow scooters (as they are called up there) accidents kill people each year. Sometimes they only scar them horrifically for life. Imagine getting under the chain of one of these and try not to think of cut up roast beef. This year, there was a tourist who lost both his eyes because his machine did a full stop somehow and slammed his face into his steering wheel. Not sure if they eyes got crushed or popped out. I dunno death-statistics involved with jet skis, but out on the water you don’t have to deal with trees, rocks, hidden ditches, cliffs and avalanches. Not saying that it’s more or less safe, but there are plenty of ways to hurt yourself, even if you don’t suffer equipment issues. Or are an adrenaline junkie/idiot.
@DjDolHaus862 жыл бұрын
I imagine that a lot of deaths/injuries on jet skis would be caused by how fast they are and that water is like concrete if you hit it at speed, you might skip across it harmlessly, it might snap your neck on the first impact and then drown you. That said, I don't think they're commonly used for utility purposes in the same way snow scooters are so presumably accidents are less common.

Wow, three less compasionate hunters can be rarely imagined without them killing each other. Also fairly sure a lot of these shots are fairly illegal (assuming the "no wounding shots, kill-shots only" rule exists in other countries).
@snark63952 жыл бұрын
It's actually fairly easy to imagine. They could be shooting them without any intention of following through with more shots or a chase. Or purposely aiming for nonvital spots as sport to see how long it'd last. All sadly things done by real people.
@MrLemonaiden2 жыл бұрын
How would that actually be enforced? Like I’m sure most people want to end it’s suffering asap but if you miss and hit somewhere with an “illegal shot” what would happen? Genuinely curious, I’m from the uk so it’s not really a part of our culture
@kamikazesopp2 жыл бұрын
@@MrLemonaiden To get a hunters license in Norway, you gotta pass a test that shows you're a good enough shot to hit what you're aiming at. When you hunt, you also buy a license for a specific area of land for a specific amount of time (unless you own it yourself), and there's a legal limit to how much you're allowed to shoot (you gotta document everything). I don't know how well policed these rules actually are, since police or wilderness-agency people can't tag along with every hunter, but I know that people lose their license for it every year (when you lose it, it's usually forever, and includes losing your license to ever own guns again). A bunch of rules in Norway are like that: the harder the rule is to enforce, the harsher the punishment is for getting caught. In Oslo, the fine for riding the public trolley without a ticket is hard-set to be 100x ticket price. It works like a charm.
@kamikazesopp2 жыл бұрын
@@snark6395 I was more refering to how they treated each other when I talked about compassion. Like Ross firing basicly over Smith's shoulder while he was aiming with a bow with the loudest gun ever, and Smith vrooming past Trott in the world's loudest fourwheeler. It is true though, scum like that exists. One can only hope they get death-charged and gored by a deer one day.
