I have been using bamboo for years. I have found that putting 5 or 6 sections out really close draws more fish. I throw out a buoy marker where I want the structures then drop them in a tight circle around the buoy.

Because bamboo is so strong, it should last for about two years. Cedar isn’t a bad option but bamboo is cheaper, although cedar is more reliable 😊
