the food honestly looks so good, i’m so proud of how far trish has come with their cooking skills!

Just a few recommendations.. when you are making hummus remove the skins, that would help with the texture. Also add cubes of ice as you blend as the machine tends to get hot. When it comes to falafel, don't boil the garbanzo beans (just soak them for 24 hours), you can use baking power (Not flour - it is not necessary). This will keep them from desintegrating, also medium heat for that oil is key :)

Julia Childs was over 50 before she published her first cookbook, and mid fifties before she hit big fame on her cooking shows. I've had hummus before and don't like some bc its bland. but I can't wait to try this. plus the falafel I've been wanting to try forever! when I had my last child (our only boy) at 38 almost 39. I craved chick peas lol I had them all the time on a salad every single day I'd go to our cafeteria at work and make a salad. I'm 46 now & haven't had them since I had Jack lol. I'm so excited for you to have your daughter 💗 you are going to be a wonderful Mother. I am so glad you're blessed. My 2 daughters are Literally 1 year & 2 days apart. they're now married& I have a 4yr old Grandson. Enjoy each day. they grow up fast oh & chick peas & garbanzo are the same thing.

Next time add a teaspoon of bicarb soda when you boil the garbanzo. Makes the hummus a lot softer. Also for extra creaminess try boiling the beans longer, then rinse with water and rub with your hands to remove a lot of the skin. As for blending, you need to blend for a long time (8 -10 minutes), then slowly add ice cubes toward the last 3 minutes. Itll emulsify with the tahini and olive oil and will make a creamy lighter colored dip. Also falafel is best if you blend the garbanzo after soaking rather than doing it with cooked beans.
