I also wanted to ask when the bird has hatched can we just remove the water/humidifier from the incubator and use it as brooder as well to keep the baby bird warm or what do you suggest?
@lovelyfinchКүн бұрын
This incubator can also be used as a brooding box. The water cup does not need to be removed. The brooding box also needs to maintain humidity. If it is too dry, the baby birds will become dehydrated, suffer from heat exhaustion, and also peel. No adjustment is required before 6 days of age. Just place the baby bird directly in another container and place it away from the light source. After 7 days of age, the temperature can be adjusted to 35 degrees. After 14 days of age, if the room temperature is warm, the baby birds no longer need to be kept warm.🙂

Hey if it's not too much if you can also make a brief informational video on how to breeding finches in specific Gouldian finches as they are tend to be bad parents. In video you can add information about how to pair up finches, what is the best cage size to breed them, what seedmix is the best, what is the measurement of the nestbox, how to give calcium vitamins supplements, how to give egg food or softfood and lastly how to foster eggs or make them hatch their own eggs.😅

In the wild, Gouldian finch nests are usually built in tree holes, so as long as you give them a relatively hidden nest with a relatively small entrance, they still have a chance to raise their babies by themselves.😉

One more question you didn't use a CPU fan for the incubator why because people tend to always use CPU fan in their incubator.
@lovelyfinchКүн бұрын
If it is a larger incubator, a fan will be needed for heat circulation to ensure that every corner can reach the temperature and humidity we need. As long as the air is circulated, it is not necessary to install a fan. In fact, the fan Disturbing audio can be very annoying if you listen to it for a long time. There is no fan under the mother bird's belly!😅
