Olá, bom dia! Essa máquina utilizada nas fazendas brasileiras há muitos séculos, tem o nome de MONJOLO. Aqui ela é montada embaixo de um curso de água, é á água que faz o trabalho das bolinhas e a parte de trás, a parte do peso, é utilizada para moer milho e fazer fubá, no sobe e desce da alavanca. Muito engenhoso, parabéns!

if you do the maths correct when measuring you can then build it in a size to use a timer have see ones that count in 5 and 10 seconds on the past pretty neat invention

question, if you include a ratcheting system on the opposite side of the device, near the weight, could you create a means of raising the marbles with each pivot of the beam and in theory create a perpetual motion machine?

Your idea for a mechanism is correct. However, it would take energy for the ratchet. No perpetual motion :(.

@@boogiemonster98 Please pardon my ignorance as I have no experience with design work and education in the laws of physics and thermodynamics (aspects I've heard in regards to the limitations of perpetual motion machines) but would gravity aid in that area, providing the necessary energy, not sure I'm referring to kinetic or potential energy but the marbles deposited in the bottom bowl from the pivot arm would roll down an incline and each marble would be received in a vertical conveyor belt type device which would ratchet up as the counter weight lifts skyward as it would catch the belt as it moves upward before dropping and catching it again, causing the marbles to be redeposited on the top of the device to then roll down and begin the cycle again. I know there are definite flaws in my concept as otherwise smarter people than I would have easily come up with this concept ages ago but watching your device in motion just seems to give me the opinion/belief that this alteration would work. I know I'm probably foolish and ignorant of the facts that I don't grasp but I hope you can shed light on my mistakes and I apologize for bothering you with my ramblings lol :)

Because of this fact alone, it is impossible to build perpetual motion machines." The friction losses in a mechanical apparatus alone will defeat any attempt.
