Thanks :) My advice is first, suck everything from my video and others videos and do the same. Its all in the hands and what tools you have. There so many ways to build the dome.. There is and easy one some where on you tube, where they have a gym Ball and then concret around it. But again what to say, i dont now how your hands are screwed together.

HI Dante .Thanks :) I still not have a door built in, but i will in the future when i have time. Offcause you will avoid the heat comming out with a door, and therefore the oven will be ready faster. But it could be a good idea when you are baking bread and whole chicken ETC and you want to cook many hours after the fire is out :)

One of the better ones I've seen done that's not from a kit. I love the idea of using the same frame for both slabs and used the insulation under all firebricks, insulated the top with blanket. So many don't. They just throw the firebricks on cement, don't insulate, insulate, insulate. And their structures are massively overkill. Build these gigantic ovens without proper I insulation. Anything worth doing, is worth doing right. What size is yours? Inside/ outside dims?

Did it crack over the winter. Was thinking of building one here in Canada but I am concerned about the freeze thaw cycle.... Your thoughts?
@Deephouseproducer8 жыл бұрын
Hi Douglas. in the winter time I just cover it , with thick plastic foil. Some small cracks will appear, and the clay around the chimney cracks, because steel expands a bit under heat. But not a big problem. But here in Denmark it's rains a lot, and find that a worse problem than freezing.

Here in Denmark we have alot of rainy days and minus degrees in the winter. Though the wetter is mostly bad here, the oven is still standing, but every year in the spring i make small touch up around the chimney with fireproof concrete, and some small fixes here and there. Some stones also can become loose from the moisture, but if you ran over it every year, it will stand like new :)

Hej Musa.

4:32 In other news, a famous Danish pizza enthusiast, whose identity shall remain unknown, was eaten alive by his own wood burning oven, earlier this evening. Family and close friends alike, claim that the oven acted without warning, swallowing the victim whole, as the poor man was working on the oven. "It ate him as if he was a pepperoni pizza", one close friend and beer-holder, specifically said to our reporter, who covered this tragic event. The Mayor of this tragic town said the following, during the memorial speech which was organised later that evening: There are no words to describe my feelings. I hope this tragic incident becomes a warning to all of us and to future generations about the dangerous nature of wood burning ovens and other ovens in general." Following the event, nobody knows what will happen to the perpetrator oven, but concerned citizens have already prepared a petition for its immediate tear down, although some believe that now the spirit of he victim continues to live through the structure. Time will tell what will happen after all This is Steve Andrews reporting for DaPizzaTV .

Rene Hernandez I totally agree more and less. Today I only use it for making pizzas, and in that case I totally agree, it is not necessary with all that insulation, but I didn’t knew in the beginning what would have been the best option, that’s why I builded it so I wouldn’t regret after. I think insulation is necessary if you want to baking bread all day long using the stored heat in the stones.
