We have an accessory fuse block that I installed under the hood. It gets power from our second battery and goes to a switch in the dash

how has this worked out so far any problems with fumes or anything like that?

We had to make some modifications. The plastic housing that the fan is mounted on melted but the heat was great while it lasted

Works great nice and warm. Only issue is window still fogs sometimes
