My grandmother used to have a manual pottery wheel. It had a large stone underneath (in a large wooden ring) that she would push with her foot to make it go round & round. Must've been exhausting! She made most of the dishes for our cabin, that we still use today. 🙂 Happy Crafternoon~~ xo

Hi Linnea, I’m sorry to see your beautiful pots crack on you. I have a suggestion you might want to give it a try. I make Hypertufa planters and to prevent the plant pots from cracking after the form has been made, I wrapped them loosely with wet newspapers and put them into a plastic bag and leave them for several days to slow down the drying time and to prevent cracking. Just a thought you could give it a try.! ❤ Kudos to Chris and the Ghost scene!😂❤

The moisturizer looks wonderful. I have psoriasis on my knees, marigold or calendula leaves= soak in olive oil ( or whichever you want ) I leave it 4-6 weeks in a dark place, then I strain the leaves out, heat the oil slowly, add some beeswax, then put an essential oil in - pour it in a small container and THAT clears the knees up faster and better than a $52 prescription from Doc and it leaves the skin soft and glowing. I’ve made same with plantain

If you add a bit of either Titanium Oxide or Zinc Oxide powder to your lotion, you have a moisturizing sunblock. Mix one jar day cream with this and apply before going outside. Use other jar without this as your night moisturizer. Off course you can just add it into the batch, and have the sunblock not blocking anything at night, lol. I did this before and added a drop or two green food colour and sold it to family members as a day cream and night cream. They came telling me how different the two felt and how it was getting rid of wrinkles, lol.

With how often you are outside and in the sun, your skin is still always gorgeous and glowy. Do you use sunscreen or anything, because you never highlight that nor anything about your hygiene routine. Obv we've seen you brush your teeth or what not. But living outside, your skin must sometimes get burnt from the sun or dry from the different humidty/etc. Also, I love how more often than not your videos have what I like to call 'a moral' to the story, because how you film and the voiceovers make this complete circuit, more often than not. But this time you did a lot of different things: more focus on time lapses, really enjoying your project. A hyper focused 'lens' into your art without anything extra. It's gorgeous and awesome to see you doing different things with your cinematography. Plus, I love how you kept the bit of Chris coming into your art space and intruding with his cute "let's go sit behind Linnea and wrap my arms around her". We all know he hates to do posed/choreographed things for camera. But this time he did it in a very sweet, funny way in which you had no idea what's going on. Ya'll are great together. Thank you for sharing all the tiny, wonderous moments with us.

As for the skin/hygiene routine, I don’t actually wear sunscreen much. I slowly expose myself to the sun as seasons change, and I focus more on covering up if needed rather than sunscreen. I don’t have any other routine for my skin! Just lots of moisturizer and hydration :)

It's so fun to watch you throw. I'm pretty new to it as well. Your designs are great! I just built out the basement livingroom into my pottery studio. I have learned a lot in the process. One thing you really need to be aware of (you may already know) is potters lung aka silicosis. The silica in the clay dust can be really dangerous if you don't have proper air filtration, or at very least good exhaust ventilation. Can't wait to see what you put together on the land!
