Having built a couple of superhet radios I've now made this pulse-counting FM radio. It's really easy to make with no complicated alignment to do and sounds surprisingly good for a few junk box valves!!

I don't know why, but tube (valve in the UK) radios just have that sweet warm sound to them. A lot less harshness than we hear with solid state radios. Great work putting this one together!

Thank you, very enjoyable. In about 1980 I made a successful pulse counting valve receiver for the 2m FM band. I think I used an IF of about 50 kHz. Also, Sinclair made a pocket FM radio using a pulse counting circuit.
